Willow is a shrub with a long history of traditional use. Modern scientific researchers have identified numerous compounds from its bark that contribute to it's bioactivity. Of these active compounds, Salicin is best known for its support of the body's healthy response to normal physiological stress. In addition to Salicin, polyphenols and flavonoids have also been found to contribute to its activity. Now Willow Bark has 15% Salicin plus a natural balance of other bioactive compounds that may gently help to temporarily relieve minor pain caused from overexertion and typical everyday stress.

My husband was having pain 6 months after a level 4 spinal fusion. Extended use of NSAIDS pre-op had caused stomach ulcers. Tylenol didn't bother him but it wasn't effective either. I was hopeful but not expecting much when I bought this product. I could not believe how well it worked! My husband took 2 caps and felt better within 15-20 minutes. I tried it for a sinus headache that night and it helped me too. I will definitely order this again. It's inexpensive, effective and it doesn't bother my husband's stomach!
I've been using this for two months now and it really helps with pain and inflammation associated with advanced HIV disease, when combined with devil's claw. For me they work synergistically, I take half the recommended dose of each, both Now products. For me this is better than NSAIDS and easier on my stomach.

A pity as I use Now Foods brand a lot. I guess it works for some and not others. (Feel free to go to my iherb page by clicking on my username for my 100 plus reviews).

I have only used for a short time but it works as well as over the counter brands and is much safer.
helps with pain -- better than tramadol

my dad has pain from his cancer (tumors) and this is quite good at reducing his pain, whereas the drugs he got from his doctor (tramadol) did not reduce his stomach pain whatsoever and just made him very groggy ive also used it myself whenever i start feeling fluey or feverish. i can feel myself healing -- when i take it for a fever/aches, it helps me "sweat" the fever out and the next day, im feeling much better (never got that kind of result from OTC meds ever). IMO, mother nature trumps pharmaceuticals
