Condition: Need for a natural, healthy rinse to keep breath fresh and promote dental health.
Solution: NOW XyliWhite Mouthwash is an effective fluoride-free oral rinse that works in unique ways to help you achieve a smile that’s healthier and brighter than ever before! XyliWhite Mouthwash gets its cleaning properties from xylitol – a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that has been shown in clinical studies to help promote dental health; effectively rinsing debris, such as food particles, from mouth surfaces. Xylitol also helps safeguard healthy tooth enamel surfaces. By preventing the mouth’s pH level from falling below their normal range, XyliWhite Mouthwash protects the enamel surface of teeth.
Shake gently before using. It is recommended that you first brush with XyliWhite Whitening Toothpaste and then rinse mouth for at least 30 seconds with XyliWhite Mouthwash.
Water (aqua), aloe barbadensis leaf juice*, xylitol, glycerin, natural essential oil flavor blend [mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) oil, thymus vulgaris (thyme) oil, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, menthol, mentha spicata (spearmint) oil, gaultheria procumbens (wintergreen) leaf oil], caprylic/capric glycerides, glycerin and ethyl lauroyl arginate HCI, citric acid, citrus grandis (grapefruit) seed extract.
Contains Xylitol, do not give to pets.
An excellent product for gum health
An excellent product for gum health
This is an excellent product to use for periodontal (gum) health. Last year during a regular visit to my periodontist, the hygienist measured a pocket depth of 6 mm on one of my teeth. Everyone was upset and immediately suggested that I needed a root canal for that tooth. I resisted this, but on my regular vist to my dentist 3 months later, he also measured a 6-mm pocket depth and almost demanded that I have a root canal. I emphatically told him NO! This was the first of June 2009. When I got home I went to the iHerb.com web site and searched on Xylitol -- and that's where I found Now Foods Xyliwhite Mouthwash. My order arrived the following week, I started using it regularly, 2-3 times a day. And when I visited my periodontist in September they measure a pocket depth of 3 mm at the very same location that had been 6 mm. My only comment was "Isn't that interesting!" Since then my pocket depths are consistently 2 and 3 mm. I repeat: this is an excellent product.
This "refreshmint" was my first trial of Xyliwhite mouthwash. It tastes worse than any medicine I have ever tasted. I have since tried the Xyliwhite cinnamon mouthwash and it is much much better.

I was using another Xylitol based mouthwash that I really liked but seems to have been discontinued, it took awhile to find another mouthwash with good, healthy & smart ingredients. I found this one and am quite happy with it, tastes pretty good (Refreshmint) though not as good as my previous fave. Highly Recommended! Andy_Whitby

I looked at the ingredients. All seems aboveboard. Won't give us mouth cancer and doesn't sting like Listerine. Neutral taste. It is only in your mouth a few seconds anyway while you gargle then spit. My husband says he doesn't like the taste but I'm going to keep buying it as it seems less bad for us than Listerine and it is far less expensive than Aesop mouthwash that we have in the bathroom which is nicer I admit but also 5 times the price.
