Nubian Heritage, Hand Cream, African Black Soap, 4 fl oz (118 ml)82 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Humble Beginnings: Nubian Heritage is the brainchild of two New York street vendors. In 1992, fresh out of college and without jobs, Rich and Nyema embarked on a mission to produce luxurious natural products from traditional African recipes with organic and fair trade ingredients. Today Nubian Heritage offers hundreds of culturally authentic natural products inspired by global ancient healing philosophies. Although Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in bath tubs, little else has changed; the company still makes its products itself, still uses fair trade and organic ingredients and still invests in community commerce.
Heritage: African Black Soap, made from palm ash, tamarind extract and plantain peel has been used in Africa for centuries to treat eczema, blemishes and oily skin. Shea Butter, rich in vitamins and skin softening fatty acids, has been a staple of African pharmacology since the days of the Shea Butter caravans of Cleopatra's Egypt.

iHerb Customer Reviews
Shea butter is the FIRST ingredient, making this product richly textured and luxuriant. Oat and Aloe round out the natural sandalwood for a truly mellow and earthy scent. All natural organic ingredients make it an all around winner. BUT, compared to their hemp and vitamin E hand creams, the consistency of this product appears to be thicker and so the packaging that works fine for the other, thinner consistency products, does not work as well here. My aging hands ache a tiny bit each time I have to squeeze the lovely cream out of the plastic tube. Otherwise, very nice all around. If you found this review helpful, feel free to press 'Yes.' Namaste!
The cream is amazing for fighting dry skin (although a little on the greasy side) but the smell is out of control! Even after I was my hands I can still smell the Sandalwood. It is just too much and really doesn't smell like the African Black Soap-soap. Very disappointing!
