A therapeutic body moisturizer treats breakouts and superficial skin imperfections with African Black Soap Extracts. Jojoba Oil, Oatmeal Extract and Vitamin E smooth and firm skin as Nubian Heritage's own Shea, Cocoa and Mango Butter blend maximizes moisture retention and promotes healing.
Humble Beginnings: In 1992, fresh out of college without jobs, Rich and Nyema embarked on a personal mission to produce high quality bath and body products utilizing all-natural ingredients and ancient healing philosophies from around the globe. Nubian Heritage is the brainchild of these lifelong friends, turned New York Street Vendors, who simply grew frustrated with the inferior quality, high chemical content, poor selection and exorbitant prices of skin care products. Today Nubian Heritage has hundreds of all-natural and organic products and although they are no longer made in bath tubs or kitchen sinks, little else has changed. They are still obsessed with Fair Trade ingredients, Ancient Healing Philosophies, Community Commerce and Culturally Authentic Products.
Heritage: African Black Soap, made from palm ash, tamarind extract and plantain peel has been used in Africa for centuries to treat eczema, blemishes, and oily skin. Shea Butter, rich in vitamins and skin softening fatty acids, has been a staple of African pharmacology since the days of the Shea Butter caravans of Cleopatra's Egypt.

Destroys your skin

Made my skin soooooooooooo red and puffy after few applications. I thought it is supposed to "heal" skin as it is said on the bottle, not to doestroy it. Also it has terrible packaging - it is such a struggle to squeeze some and consistency is very, i mean VERY thick, which makes applying the same suffering as squezzing it out of bottle.
weird scent, VERY thick

Although lotions usually are liquid this African black soap „lotion” is SO thick (as body butter) that it is almost impossible to squeeze it out from a bottle, it should be placed in a jar. It has a specific scent that I don’t like, so I use it only on my legs. Good thing about this lotion – I have noticed some scars, scratches etc. on my legs heals faster than usually.
great for my skin

I haven´t used this one a lot, I missed the fact that it is for oily skin while I have dry skin. During summer however, I sometimes get pimples from extensive use of sunscreen, and I think that this lotion will help me with that.
