Provides tissue from the entire adrenal gland, both medulla and cortex portions.
Our natural glandular material is derived from government-inspected, range-fed animals, raised in New Zealand and Australia, whose animal husbandry regulations are among the strictest in the world. The material is lyophilized, which means it is immediately frozen then subjected to a high vacuum that vaporizes moisture directly from the solid state.

iHerb Customer Reviews
My physician prescribed adrenal gland for me, as a treatment for a condition called "adrenal fatigue". Over a couple of months of being on this this product, I noticed some significant changes in my physiology. I stopped needing my asthma medication (she did not tell me to expect this), and the inflammation in some pre-hemmoroidal tissue went away. Then, during a visit to my dentist, she said my gums appeared exceptionally healthy, perfect. Again, this was another unexpected improvement in my health. The Allergy Research Group's adrenal gland always appears fresh, actually smells good. For me, it works great for supplying the building blocks for the cascade of steroidal hormones that my body seems to lack.
I wrote a review for the Adrenal Cortex (by the same manufacturer) and how it had helped me with my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I have had a chance now to try both the Adrenal Cortex and the Adrenal Glandular (this one) and I can honestly say the Adenal Glandular is much better for me. The Cortex took me so far in reccovering from adrenal exhaustion but the glandular version took me all the way. I can now last all day at work without slumping and I feel much more vital!! Definitely the better one to go for.

Could kick myself for taking this

Got myself in BIG trouble by taking this adrenal. Couldn't believe I didn't think this through: by taking ADRENAL you are also increasing your CORTISOL. Cortisol is the stress hormone. I took this for two months and started getting some symptoms that I had no idea were related: muscle weakness, weight gain, then horrible high blood pressure and headaches. Had blood tests and my white count (WBC's) was low. On a hunch, I looked up symptoms of too much adrenal and found copious info on the symptoms of excess CORTISOL which was all the symptoms above. I now have a second appt with my doctor to try to fix this. I still have blood pressure of 160/110, as it has stayed daily for 6 weeks. This is one supplement I would tell you NEVER to take. I should have known better since I have medical training. ;( When you ingest the cow's adrenal gland, you are also ingesting his CORTISOL.
