Seaweed Iceland, Dulse, Raw, 1.76 oz (50 g)10 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Dulse is a fat free, cholesterol free food, rich in vitamin B6, dietary and soluble fiber, protein, iodine and potassium. It has the highest iron content of any sea vegetable.
Dulse grows wild and is harvested by hand from pure Icelandic waters. We dry it using renewable geothermal energy to bring you the highest quality food source with a low carbon footprint.
In Icelandic, dulse is known as sol. Throughout the centuries Icelanders ate dulse with butter, added it to soups, mixed it with barley for breadmaking and traded it for meat, fish and other food.
Today dulse is used to enhance soups, sauces and casseroles. For best cooking results, soak it in water for 10 minutes and then cook for 5-10 minutes.
Dulse can also be enjoyed as a healthy snack right from the package, cut down as topping for salad, fish and meat dishes or toasted until crispy for use on sandwiches, popcorn, pasta or pizza.
Dulse (palmaria palmata).
May contain small shells or stone particles.
Keep in a cool, dry place after opening.

iHerb Customer Reviews
I didn't know what to expect ordering this but went ahead and ordered 3 packets. I'd never eaten dulse before. The packets arrived and look identical to the picture here. After opening the packet I tore off a piece to taste. The texture was so soft and just melted in the mouth. It had an absolutely delicious unique flavour that was very sea-like i.e. subtle saltiness together with a starchy nutritiousness. It was so nice I ate half the packet straight away. The colour is lovely rich reddish and velvety. I didn't bother adding it to meals but have been using it as a little snack or an after meal finish. This new discovery has become a favourite food item, coming from Iceland and being an natural unprocessed food is a real treat.
I prepared soup instead, no need to soak before hand since it would disintegrate very fast upon cooking. Yummy.
