Our Sustainable, USDA-Certified Organic Beeswax is sourced from established Bee Farmers who meet our stringent social, environmental and economic requirements.
We purchase our USDA Organic Beeswax from well-established bee farmers, who are often the third or fourth-generation in the trade and have learned from decades of hands-on experience. Their livelihood is dependent on the ethical and humane collection of crude wax and honey. These farmers take pride in providing a high quality, consistent products year after year, without endangering bees or other wildlife.
The collection of our Organic Beeswax takes place in organized apiaries, or out in the wild – where collectors do their best to ensure the bees are well cared for. By constantly monitoring the hives, farmers can make certain the bees are healthy and well fed throughout the year, especially during times of drought or frost. Many of our bee farmers use wooden hives, which are hung from trees, so wild animals cannot disturb them.
In addition, the majority of our bee farmers contribute to ongoing government and university-funded research. This crucial research is intended to develop better ways to handle bees, and keep them safe in their natural habitat.
Organic Beeswax is a naturally sustainable product from Mother Nature. It is up to us to protect bees, so that they will continue to pollinate and produce high quality Organic Beeswax for generations to come.

I have very sensitive lips prone to getting painfully dry, peeling, chapping, and, as a result, extreme soreness, especially in winter. I've been looking for an all-natural organic lip balm for a very long time, and I think I've finally found it. I really like Sierra Bees lip balms. The best thing about them is that they don't contain any synthetic, artificial, or dangerous ingredients, which is hard to find these days. They’re also gluten free, which is especially important for people suffering from gluten intolerance and celiac disease, sustainable, which means the company cares about nature and tries not to disturb its delicate balance, compact and easy to carry around, you don’t have to worry about accidentally swallowing any dangerous carcinogenic ingredients, and you can try them for free! This organic mint lip balm contains peppermint and spearmint essential oils known for their powerful antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral properties and capable of fighting off different types of infections, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and boosting the immune system. While it’s great for mint lovers, it won't be suitable for people allergic to mint and menthol and suffering from acid reflux, heartburn, and other gastroesophageal conditions, because it can aggravate them and cause discomfort. Personally, I like this lip balm, but for some it might just be too strong and cause a burning sensation. The other ingredients are great as always. Olive oil is known for its antioxidant properties and for deeply moisturizing, nourishing, regenerating, and softening the delicate skin of the lips, beeswax forms a protective barrier on their surface while still allowing the skin to breathe, sunflower seed oil is a noncomedogenic oil gently healing, moisturizing, and protecting your lips against irritation and infection, vitamin E (another great thing about Sierra Bees lip balms is that it’s non-GMO and derived from sunflower seed oil) is a powerful antioxidant vital to skin health, as well as a natural preservative. I’ve been using this lip balm for a while, and I’m already impressed by the results. The condition of my lips has noticeably improved: they are no longer painfully dry, chapped, and peeling – they are smooth, soft, and healthy instead.

Every flavor is great with this brand. Goes on smoothe, not waxy. Chapped lips resolve with one use. My favorite brand.

My favourite lip balm, hands-down. Discovered it here at iherb when I bought some of the Sierra Bees hand cream, and I just keep buying more. I've only given 4 stars because in the winter, which is not terribly cold here in Israel, the lip balm (all flavours) sort of developed a slighty "crumbly" feel, like it had congealed due to the cold. Now that the weather is warm again, it's back to its previous smooth texture. I'm surprised nobody else has commented on this, because I imagine it would have been worse in a colder climate. The texture change never interfered with use, as it warms up on contact with skin. And it didn't stop me from using it because I wouldn't go back to using anything else.
