Simply Organic, Dill Weed, 0.81 oz (23 g)33 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Aromatic dill weed is more delicately flavored than the seed from the same plant. It enhances rather than dominates and is delicious in salads, sauces, light gravies, and with fish and grains.
A way to eat. The way to live.
We're here to fill your life with honest-to-goodness good food. The kind of food that you remember, deep down. Fresh. Wholesome. Brimming with flavor and life. It can only be found in organically grown foods.
Dill is best when added at the end of cooking, or in recipes that require little or no cooking, because the longer you cook it, the weaker its flavor. For that reason, dill weed is successfully used in quick-cooking sauces, salads and dressings, while dill seed is suitable for dishes that require longer cooking.
Dill's flavor has been described as a mix of anise, parsley and celery, its aroma as a combination of citrus, fennel and mint. The color and more delicate flavor of dill weed enhance rather than dominate a dish.
While dill's claim to fame is the dill pickle, it's also excellent with fish, and in salads (potato, coleslaw, macaroni) and salad dressings, dips, sauces and gravies, cottage or cream cheese, breads, soups, and egg, bean, chicken, grain and meat dishes.
Also try it in sweets like cakes, pastries and apple pie and with vegetables like beets, cabbage (especially sauerkraut), avocado, eggplant, parsnips, pumpkin, squash, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, potatoes, green beans and tomatoes.
Blend 1 to 2 tablespoons of dill weed with softened cream cheese to create a tasty dip.

... as good as the fresh dill I can get here. Try this simple recipe for dill dip - just mix together half cup sour cream, 2 TBSP mayo (optional), 2 TBSP yoghurt, 2 to 3 tsp dried dill, a generous dollop of prepared wasabi, pinch of salt and pepper. Prepare ahead for the flavours to develop fully, and refrigerate (covered) till needed. Can keep in fridge for several days. Use it for boiled potatoes or all kinds of seafood like grilled fish, steamed prawns, lobster salad, etc.
There are certain herbs that are usually better used fresh because they have a better aroma -as parsley, cilantro, chives and dill. Nevertheless in the supermarket i use to go, you do not always have fresh dill. As an alternative i wanted to try the dried version-taking care that its an organic one. I must say that i am very positively surprised, that even if its dried, its still has a very good dill aroma. Probably i will also give the parsley and the chives a try if they produce it from this brand.
