Product Overview

  • Dietary Supplement

A number of studies have shown that a diet rich in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower can be beneficial to your health. Researchers have isolated a key component of broccoli called sulforaphane, which may have many protective properties. Sulforaphane, an isothiocyanate is believed to stimulate enzymes in the body. Freshly germinated broccoli sprouts contain from 30 to 50 times the concentration of isothiocyanates as mature broccoli.

Source Naturals Broccoli Sprouts Extract provides 2,000 mcg sulforaphane daily, equivalent to eating more than a pound of fresh broccoli.

Do not have active myrosinase.

Posted by Reviewer3091023 on Nov 18, 2014

I have been taking these and have not had any effect on my asthma symptoms, then I ate a spoon of mustard and chewed them all together with the pills but still not active. Problem is that the myrosinase is inactivated in the processing so it does not convert the precursor in the pill to sulphuraphane. I have had excellent results using broccoli sprouts which I sprouted but seeds are very expensive in Australia... they 160 aus, per kilo, and do not do well in cooler weather. Christine Houghton, an Aus researcher is on video plus there is CSIRO and ABC Catalyist information. I have bought EnduraCell whole broccoli sprout bioactive powder in AUs and its also on the US site. Ms Mazaraki at Melbourne uni is researching sulphuraphane on asthma and got great results.
