Long a dietary staple of the people of Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands, coconut oil has been used for both food and health care. It has been used in Ayurvedic herbalism for 4,000 years and it is natural oil, lower in calories than most oils. Coconut oil is composed of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT's), which are less likely to be stored in the body as fat than are longchain triglycerides (LCT's).
1 tablespoon two to three times daily, or as recommended by your health care professional. May be used as a replacement for other types of cooking oils, or in blended drinks such as smoothies.

I use Extra Virgin Coconut Oil not only as a dietary supplement but as a day and night moisturizer for my face and body with excellent results. It absorbs almost immediately leaving my skin smooth and glowing. I'm an older women and it has soften if not eraced the few wrinkles I had. I can't say enough about all the benefits that Extra Virgin Coconut provides.
I use several brands of coconut oil and choose according to reputation and price. I believe in selected saturated fats for good health. I am 80 years old and my HDL is 92, triglycerides 83.
