L-Carnitine is important for providing energy to muscles, and has been described as a "conditionally essential" nutrient for humans. 95% of all carnitine stores in the body are found in muscle tissue. It carries fatty acids into the mitochondria of each cell, where they are metabolized to produce ATP, the body's prime energy fuel.
1 capsule 1 to 4 times daily.
Gelatin (capsule), dibasic calcium phosphate, colloidal silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate.

Keep up metabolism, 250mg for 14kg Vet recommend for my elderly dog for daily maintenance.

My Doctor advised me to take this product for the heart. Source Naturals is a good product and a good price. I-Herbs is a good place to order from and has good prices. They ship the products quickly also which I like.

I think it is ok. I have a capsule an hour before exercising.

L-carnitine does work but this time around the recommended doses didn't fit my schedule. I think you should take it before working out but it says with meals. I would prefer to take it so I could burn fat since the first minute I start working out and have more energy. Taking this with meals doesn't really make sense to me based on the characteristics of L-Carnitine. I will probably buy it again, but I will wait and try other products. If you are starting taking supplements this is a good start, but make sure your meals are near your working out schedules so you will make the most out of this product.
