Best form of folic acid, January 23, 2009
From Colorado
This is as good as methylfolate, but cheaper. Don't fall for the BS about a huge fraction of the population being less able to convert folinic to methylfolate: if you take any B2 at all, the MTHFR defect becomes harmless. The only bottleneck worth worrying about is the reduction of folate to dihydrofolate.

From North Carolina
I give these to my daughter who has anemia. The bloodwork proves they do the job.

Helps me with methylation!, January 10, 2008
From Texas
MegaFolinic is easy to take. I take one tablet in the morning and one at night along with TMG and a methyl b12 lozenge. It has helped reduce a lot of symptoms due to homocysteine. The mushy feeling left my legs, and I can walk alot better now. My legs feel stronger, also, and I have more stamina to walk!

Specialty, August 14, 2008
From Washington
This is the special form of reduced folate, which will be the only kind that works for some people (perhaps, those who are in poorer health).

I started taking this at the advice of my doctor. I take an anti-depressant and this helps it work more efficiently.

Great but get Solgar's actual food form folate, December 01, 2008
From Arizona
This product still needs to be converted into food form folate just like folic acid although said to be faster is all. A study says 30% of the population has trouble converting folic acid to actual folate!!! So, any study using folic acid and not actual folate is flawed. You'll never see a study showing actual folate isn't healthful. Better to take actual food folate directly so no conversion is needed. Plus Solgar's folate can be taken at doses even in excess of 1mg (1,000mcg) per day because research shows it won't cover B12 deficiency symptoms like folic acid will.

a highly recommended adjunctive nutrient, January 06, 2009
By Glenn Tompkins from Arizona
In "The H Factor Solution," Dr. James Braly and noted author Patrick Holford cite folate as a much-needed nutrient missing in most American diets. Folate deficiency can lead to a host of serious issues. Source Naturals and iHerb offer a great price on a state-of-the-art supplement. Recommended without reservation as an effective method to detoxify homocysteine throughout the cells of the body.

I definitely notice the difference between this and folic acid products. My thoughts are clearer when I am taking this.

The cheaper and less bio-available for of Folate, so I was very pleased to find MegaFolinic, after quite a bit of searching!
