Source Naturals OmegaChia Oil is made from chia seeds, an ancient Aztec superfood. Chia seeds were one of the main staples in the Aztec and Incan daily diet, the most valued after corn. China is the highest known plant source of the omega-3 ALA, which is able to convert into both EPA and DHA within the body. Omega Chia Oil contains more omega-3's than flaxseed and helps to balance the ratio of omega-3's to omega-6's. A balanced omega-3 to omega-6 ratio supports a healthy inflammation response.

My doctor told me that I should be taking Omega 3, but I HATE fish and cannot handle the aftertaste of those pills. These pills have NO aftertaste -- and actually provides you with more than the doctor recommended 700mg/day (each serving is 2 cassules which provides 1200mg of Omega 3). Plus, you get the added benefit of Omega 6. To top it off, the price is good.
I used this supplement for a couple of months now. This supplement from chia seeds is a very good source of alpha-linolenic acid. Your body can make DHA (a very important fatty acid for the brain and the rest of the body) from it. Some research also suggested a major neuroprotective effect of alpha-linolenic acid especially for some forms of epilepsy and ischemia. But until now I didn't got a special brain boost or brain focus form it (the effect what you get with some nootropics). But I hope in the long term it will protect my brain. Flax seed oil is also a good source of alpha-linolenic acid, the only problem is that in flax seeds oil are some residues that can be neurotoxic. So I prefer the Chia oil for myself!
