The Tao of Tea, 100% Organic Cape Town Rooibos, Caffeine Free, 4.0 oz (114 g)13 Reviews
Expiration Date: Dec 2016
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
Shipping Weight: 0.59 lbs (0.27 kg)
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Blend a caffeine free blend of South African Rooibos and refreshing herbs that include red rose petals, chamomile, lemon verbena, spearmint and orange peel.
Afrikaans for 'Red Bush' pronounced 'Roy-Boss' is a member of the Legume family of plants. It grows exclusively in the Cedarberg Mountains and around Clanwilliam in South Africa. Rooibos is free of caffeine, and contains Aspalathin, a flavonoid present in medical herbs used to treat skin and circulatory disorders and also contains traces of Fluoride and Calcium.
The ancient San Bushmen are believed to be the first to utilize wild Rooibos. Large-scale cultivation and industrial processing of the plant began during the 1930s.
The leaves of the Rooibos bush are harvested, bruised, finely chopped, moistened and fermented in mounds. The result is rich flavor and distinct red colored thin leaves.
Cape Town Rooibos is also delicious as an iced tea or combined with fruit juices, smoothies or drinks. Fragrant, cooling and sweet flavor profile.
Use one teaspoon of Cape Town Rooibos for eight ounces water and steep at 185 F for five minutes. Can be re-infused at least two times.
100% organic rooibos, 100% organic chamomile, 100% organic spearmint, red rose petals, 100% organic orange peel and 100% organic lemon verbena.
iHerb Customer Reviews
The Tao of Tea products comes in a nice package, and this was sealed properly. This 100% Organic Cape Town Rooibos however is way too mild for my taste, and you need about 2-3 times more of this Rooibos to get a proper taste. This Rooibos is also mixed with red rose petals, chamomile, lemon verbena, spearmint and orange peel. Strangely they don’t add much taste to this.
