The Tao of Tea, Organic Darjeeling Bergamot, Scented Black Tea, 3.5 oz (100 g)3 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Origin: Darjeeling, India
Darjeeling, located in the Himalayas of Northeastern India, is an area regarded to produce the 'Champagne of Black Teas'. It is one of the four main tea growing regions in India and the highest in elevation at 6,000 feet. The area comprises approximately 86 tea estates in Darjeeling covering three districts (Darjeeling, Kurseong and Kalimpong) with almost 30 percent now offering Certified Organic Teas.
Reggio di Calabria in Southern Italy is the native growing area for 'Citrus Bergamia' Bergamot. Its arrival in Calabria is shrouded in mystery, and even though it grows elsewhere, only in this area does it give us the essential oil popularity used to make Earl Grey tea. The oil is also widely used for aromatherapy treatments and is known to have antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties. We use a refined, steam-distilled essence of organic bergamot for this tea.
Brew one teaspoon of leaf in eight ounce of filtered water at 185F for four minutes.
100% organic green tea leaves and organic bergamot essence.
iHerb Customer Reviews
This tea combines the wonderful mildness of Darjeeling tea with the fruity scent of bergamot. It is quite delightful, like an Earl Grey but lighter and more delicate. Unfortunately, I had an issue with my order of this product in that the tea I received was labeled incorrectly. I contacted iherb customer service and was sent an email saying someone would contact me regarding this product but no one ever did and replying to the form email I got did not work either. I had to find out what happened from another supplier who did answer my inquiries. The product is wonderful but the service I received was not.
