The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.

My doctor recommended enteric coated 5-HTP and this is one brand that qualifies. Absolutely no stomach distress here!!! I find that l-tryptophan helps more with sleep than this does yet the doctor wants 5-htp for other reasons. I find that taking both in low doses about an hour before bed works well with sleep. Check with your own health provider about taking both. A lab test later will tell if 5-HTP is working for ther other reasons the doctor wants me taking this.
Seems to help me smile more.
