Thorne Research, Carnityl, 60 Veggie Caps4 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) is synthesized from L-carnitine in the brain, liver, and kidney.
ALC supports fat metabolism and energy production in the mitochondria. In addition, ALC supports brain function by enhancing production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
Taken supplementally, ALC is better absorbed and crosses the blood-brain barrier better than L-carnitine. Several studies have demonstrated ALC's effectiveness in supporting cognitive health in the elderly, especially if supplementation is begun when mental health is thought to be at risk of declining. Other studies have shown ALC may be of benefit for maintaining a positive mood in the elderly, possibly by partially inhibiting the activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and lowering chronically elevated cortisol levels (which become elevated during stressful situations).

iHerb Customer Reviews
My mom died of a heart attack at age 65 so I began doing research on what I could do to protect my health. After reading the research on the benefits of A-L-C, I started taking 1,000 mg a day over 15 years ago. More than anything, I find it helps keeps my mind sharp. After trying many brands of A-L-C, there are only two brands I trust for potency and purity: Nutricology and Thorne Research. Do yourself a favor and research A-L-C. It seems expensive but the benefits are worth it to me.
I switched to whole food vitamin minerals, and they are working better for me.
