An Ayurvedic herb, Coleus forskohlii, commonly known as Indian Coleus, is a tropical perennial plant related to the typical coleus species and grows in subtropical areas in India, Burma, and Thailand. Coleus forskohlii root contains the constituent forskolin, which increases cellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) concentrations in the body. Coleus extracts, and the subsequent increase in cAMP, can help decrease histamine release from mast cells and basophils, with concomitant benefits to respiratory and nasal support. Studies suggest the increased cAMP stimulated by Coleus extracts relaxes respiratory airway smooth muscle, helping to maintain healthy respiratory function. Coleus extracts also help maintain healthy skin, especially in cases of dry, flaky skin.

In vitro studies show Coleus may stimulate fat metabolism and promote weight management in individuals with low cAMP production.

Take 1 capsule two to three times daily or as recommended by your health-care practitioner.
