The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Suggested Use
This product is all natural, highly concentrated, contains no added preservatives, flavors, or sweeteners and has a very strong taste. We recommend mixing it with juice or food and dividing the serving throughout the day to mask the concentrated mineral flavor.
Begin regimen by taking 10 drops for 3 consecutive days. Each day thereafter, increase serving by 10 drops up to 1/2 teaspoon (40 drops) once or twice daily.
Children age 2-3: Take 1 drop for every 5 lbs. of body weight.
For regular or sodium restricted diets.
Re-mineralize Water: Improve the flavor of distilled, reverse osmosis or purified water. Adding 20-40 drops per gallon or to taste (2-4 drops per glass) compares to expensive mineral water.

I have done a little research on minerals and I now feel a little stupid having bought this supplement. Here are some points to consider: Only about 21 minerals have been proven necessary for the human body. Some minerals are known to be toxic while others we know little about. One example of a toxic element included in this product is thallium, which has been used as rat poison but is now illegal in many countries because many were poisoned - either by accident or intent. There is no information about the amount of minerals included, except for magnesium and a few others. Even though these minerals exist naturally in the Great Salt Lake, it doesn't mean they belong in the human body. For best absorption, minerals, which are inorganic, should be chelated, ie. bound to an organic molecule. The best chelating agents for minerals are small amino acids, especially glycine, so you should look for supplements containing glycinate, eg. magnesium glycinate, iron bis-glycinate etc. I'm going to try Ortho Molecular Products Reacted MultiMin and Solgar Chelated Solamins Multimineral since they look promising.

These minerals are extremely effective. After 6 weeks of use the pain and stiffness in my neck, shoulders and upper back went away. I had extensive neuromascular therapy, chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy for about 2 years and none could eliminate the pain and stiffness I was experiencing. I have also been supplementing with other minerals, fish oil, a multivitamin/mineral supplement, but this product finally did it. I had bursitis in my right shoulder for 3 years and could not do any exercises with my right arm but now I can. I still do not use any weights but I am gratified that I can do bisep and trisep exercises and be pain free afterward.
