Organic Throat Coat
One of the primary source of wild slippery elm bark (an ingredient in this tea) is in Eastern Kentucky. We are honored to partner with rural Appalachian families there who approach their bark collection with a deep reverence for the trees and plants of these hill forests. Carefully harvesting limited and sustainable amounts of the bark by hand, they are maintaining the health of the trees, and preserving this precious resource for generations to come.
We've Got the Right Stuff
We raise the bar. The quality standard of the herbs we use is hard to pronounce, difficult to meet, and it's what makes us different, better. We're not ashamed to say it. Pharmacopoeial: it's the only quality standard our herbalists can rely one when blending teas for your health and wellness.
Personality - Smooth and silky.
Herbal Powder - Helps you sing out loud, say it proud, stand up and be heard.
Reason to Love - Slippery elm or Ulmus rubra (Latin for "red elm", so called for its lovely reddish bark) is a beautiful, native North American elm tree. It's the inner bark of this tree that is actually called "slippery elm" due to its, yes, slippery smooth, and slimy-in-a-good-way properties. Combined with licorice and marshmallow root, we think this tea blend is like taking your voice to the spa-because we all need a little comfort sometimes so we can get back to being our best.
Taste- Sweet and earthy, silky, with a distinct licorice taste.
- Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag.
- Cover cup & steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Squeeze tea bag to ensure maximum goodness in your cup.
- Enjoy 4-6 cups daily. Especially good with honey!

My daughter in college requested that I send her some of this when the whole dorm was sick! I sent several boxes that got shared. Really helps the sore throats, and the throat irritated from coughing, etc.
When you have a seriously sore throat, this is one of the few things that will take the pain away. Compared to a tea I'd drink for enjoyment, it's only OK, because I don't like the taste of mint. It does have a very slight minty taste which, upon elimination, would eliminate a key ingredient. Compared to a medicine, it is delicious. This is what my teenagers requested when they had strepp throat.

It was not bad. Didn't seem like it is especially great for sore throat, but may be something good to drink if you are feeling the chill at the beginning of a cold. Rich flavor but it may be too medicinal for some people.
This tea has become an all time regular favorite.

Combination of ingredients is awesome and really does help sore throats. Also, like as a general feel well tea.

This tea is naturally sweet on its own. It's a strong licorice flavor so be sure to make sure you like the ingredients. This tea got me through a week-end retreat where I was the main speaker. Highly recommended. I pair this elderberry syrup, Sambucus by Nature's Way (or other brands).
Love this tea!

My whole family, and even my colleagues at work, love this tea. It's soothing and really working on sore throats. I've used it for years and can definetly recommend it. It has a sweet taste, so kids like it too.
