From the corners of the earth, to the bottom of your teacup, we're preserving tradition and creating a sustainable future. For over 30 years we have been making herbal teas blending the ancient art of traditional formulating with the most modern methods to ensure you a consistently reliable and good tasting cup.

We know that you choose to live as if there is a tomorrow, as we do. That's why we purchase our herbs and manufacture our teas sustainably. Whether it's working with a cooperative of herb collectors, supporting organic herb farmers or using solar and wind power to offset our electricity use, we believe that teas that are good for you should be good for the earth.

What is Pau d'Arco? Known also as 'ipe roxo' in Brazil and as 'lapacho' in Argentina and Paraguay, pau d'arco is the inner bark of a tall tree that grows throughout South America. It has been used by traditional healers in Brazil, Argentina, Peru and other South American regions for centuries on its own or as a component of herbal mixtures. How does it work? There are numerous traditional uses for pau d'arco tea for a wide range of conditions, taken orally or applied externally to the skin or in baths. Ask your medical herbalist or naturopathic physician if pau d'arco tea is right for you. When should I use it? Drink 1-4 cups daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider. How does it taste? It has an earthy taste-woody, astringent and slightly bitter.

Suggested Use

Brew Well to be Well.

For Maximum benefit, herbal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a cup. Cover cup and steep 10-15 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup! Gently squeeze the tea bag to release any remaining extract. For a more concentrated brew, simmer 4-5 bags in 1 quart of water for 15 minutes. Drink 1-4 8 oz. cups daily or as directed by your healthcare provider.

Warnings

Consult a health care provider prior to use if you are taking anticoagulant medications.

Duration of use: Drink up to 4 cups daily for up to 6 weeks, then take a 4 week pause before resuming another 6 week course.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
