Whole Grains- Just take a look at Uncle Sam's flakes and you will see the whole wheat berry. Our traditional method of rolling the wheat berry preserves its natural fiber, nutritional value, shape and flavor, making it a true whole grain.

Why Whole Grains?

Whole grains are complex carbohydrates. A single serving provides 8 grams of dietary fiber- Uncle Sam is an excellent source of fiber. So much good comes from fiber- it keeps the over 30 feet of your digestive system functioning well, helps lower cholesterol, and helps maintain the right levels of blood sugar, important in weight management or weight loss, and helps reduce the risk of heart disease. Fiber gives you energy to last throughout your day. As if that isn't enough, vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant-rich whole grains help reduce the risk of cancer and the effects of aging.

Whole flaxseeds, our source of Omega-3 fatty acids- We add whole flaxseeds because they are one of the best sources of plant Omega-3 fatty acids and help prevent cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and inflammatory disorders.
