Healthy Origins Vitamin D3 5,000 IU is a key nutrient manufactured in a highly absorbable liquid softgel form. Vitamin D3 is synthesized in the body from sunlight and only a small amount can be obtained from food. The winter season and many sunblock products inhibit the body's ability to produce optimal levels of Vitamin D. As a result, Vitamin D3 supplementation becomes even more necessary to ensure your body receives an adequate supply.
As a dietary supplement, take one (1) softgel daily, preferably with a meal, or as directed by your health care professional.
Pure cold pressed olive oil. Softgels consists of gelatin, glycerin and water.
Free of sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, barley, fish, shellfish, nuts, tree nuts, egg and dairy products. No preservatives, artificial colors or artificial flavors.

iHerb Customer Reviews
When you buy vitamin D supplements watch out for cheap brands that use D2 instead of cholecalciferol aka D3. I've done my research and D2 is poorly absorbed so much more (I've read up to 4 times as much) is needed for the same effect and taking that much could lead to Vitamin D toxicity. Stick with good ol' safe D3 and even better get some sun on your skin as much as possible and save the supplement for winter or days when you just can't get outside.
