The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. This blond delicious natural sugar is perfect for baking, beverages and sprinkling. It is produced from freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, which is evaporated and crystallized on the same day it is harvested. No animal by-products or chemicals are used in the production of this sugar making it suitable for vegans.

1 cup Natural Cane Sugar = 1 cup Refined Sugar
Marcus Samuelsson's Chilled Berry Soup
1 pint organic strawberries
1 pint organic blueberries, rinsed
1 pint organic raspberries, rinsed
6 cups water
1 cup freshly squeezed organic orange juice
2 3-inch pieces ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
4-5 stalks fresh lemongrass, tough outer leaves removed, tender inner stalks lightly smashed and sliced into 1/4-inch-thick rounds
1 bunch fresh mint, coarsely chopped, including stalks (about 2 cups plus extra for garnish)
1 cup WS Fairtrade Natural Cane Sugar
Method: Set aside 1/2 pint of the berries, and thinly slice the rest. Put sliced berry combination in a large saucepan, add the water, orange juice, ginger, lemongrass, mint, sugar and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to steep for 1 hour.
Strain the berry soup into a bowl. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours. Serve and decorate with remainder of berries and mint as garnish. Serves 6.
