- Low Calorie Sweetener
- Sugarsweet with No Aftertaste
- Xylitol - the Ideal Sugar Replacement
What is Xylitol? It is a sweetener derived from the fibrous parts of plants. Similar in taste to regular sugar, but with a significant difference - the xylitol molecule contains 5 carbon atoms rather than the 6 of most other sugars. This molecular difference is the key to xylitol's beneficial qualities of taste & functionality.
A delicious, low-calorie sweetener As part of healthy eating, this food may assist in achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight because it is 25% lower in calories than regular sugars, but with the same sweetness. This is great news for anyone who wants to choose a healthier diet.*
Convenient sugar replacement XyloSweet can be substituted for most common sweeteners without compromising taste or texture. Unlike other sugar alternatives, it has no after-taste and can be used in most recipes that call for sugar in equal portions without making other changes to the recipe.**
*Xylitol requires a brief period of tolerance adjustment. It is suggested that XyloSweet be used in gradually increasing portions over a period of three to six weeks before it is entirely substituted for common sugar.
Usage: When cooking, replace sugar with XyloSweet in equal measurements. XyloSweet is heat-stable for cooking and baking, it also mixes and dissolves just like common sugar.**
**XyloSweet will not cause breads and pastries to rise and is not a good choice for hard candies since it will not crystalize with heating. Xylitol is not recommended for sweetening juice and instant beverages that require large amounts of sweetener.
100% pure xylitol - No fillers, flow agents or other additives.

I've tried to reduce or eliminate sugar from my diet, but I MUST have sugar in my morning coffee! I found all the various substitutes lacking, for one reason or another. Most of them just plain tasted awful. Xylitol, however, was an amazing find. It looks like sugar, tastes like sugar, has no bad aftertaste (in fact, leaves my mouth felling clean and fresh). This is low on the glycemic index, so it should be safe for diabetics. Xylitol rocks my world! Start slowly--one serving per day at first--as too much, too soon can have a laxative effect. Thank goodness for Iherb! I believe that nutritional supplements saved my life. I've tried a lot of products, and I know what works and what doesn't. My reviews are honest, straighforward, and based on my experience. Read my other reviews to quickly learn from my three decades of research and experimentation.
Super stuff. I use it every time I bake...never use regular sugar and nobody ever knows the difference! I share with friends who are diabetic. I am not and neither is my son, but we both prefer to avoid sugar whenever possible, and Xylitol is one of only three safe sweetners on the market, and is the best bargain of the three. I also use it with baking soda and sea salt as a toothpast.

no adverse effects when consumed but then again I am not a sweet freak either so... Web MD says the following: "Xylitol tastes sweet but, unlike sugar, it is not converted in the mouth to acids that cause tooth decay. It reduces levels of decay-causing bacteria in saliva and also acts against some bacteria that cause ear infections." "Dog owners should know that xylitol can be toxic to dogs, even when the relatively small amounts from candies are eaten. If your dog eats a product that contains xylitol, it is important to take the dog to a veterinarian immediately."

I know Xylitol was good for dental health because we use a toothpaste with Xylitol, but last year my sister and sister-in-law turned me on to using xylitol instead of sugar. I purchased this brand from iHerb and have been very pleased. My husband and I both like a small bit of sugar in our morning coffee. This is a great alternative to sugar. We were using organic cane sugar products, but now have switched to Xylitol and love it. It can have a laxative effect at first, but just use a little less and no problems. Great for cooking instead of sugar also.
