Gave one star because there is no lower version. Product tastes like urine to me, cannot eat it. Also, it is much lighter in color than it should be (dark amber), and has the consistency of peanut butter. Emailed iHerb about return, but they will only take back unopened jars, AND I have to pay for shipping. Very disappointed, and may reconsider ordering from them in the future.
Buckwheat honey has a rich dark brown color. The darker the honey, the greater the content of antioxidants. Buckwheat honey is said to be the most nutritious honey found in the US, in terms of antioxidant content. The taste is delicious and reminds me of the taste of partially melted juggery. (Juggery is a healthful sugar substitute made from the honey of the flowers of palm trees.) Cashews dipped in this buckwheat honey is delicious. I can't find it locally, and IHerbs has fantastic price.
Very good honey but price increased a lot.

I take a tea spoon every night and it is good for us in winter. But the price increased nearly 50% recently!

Distinctive & delicious flavor

While I can't speak to the claimed health benefits of buckwheat honey, this stuff tastes great. It's on the thick side, looks unfiltered and opaque. The flavor is distinct and tangy (and delicious!), best to be used when you really want to taste the honey as the flavor would likely be overpowering in some applications.

Raw honey the way it should be. Buckwheat honey as a high antioxidant content & you can see that by its dark colour. It is not the best tasting honey but I believe its good to try different types so as to get different nutrients.
