The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. The yogurt used to determine the nutrition value was made with vitamin A&D fortified 2% milk.
Use 5 g of starter per litre or quart of milk.
- Heat one litre or quart of milk to 180°F (82°C) or bring to the boiling point, Cool to 73-77°F (23-25°C).
- Dissolve 5 g of culture in a small amount of the cooled milk in a cup. Pour back into the litre or quart and mix well.
- Incubate in your Yogourmet II or Multi yogurt maker for 12 to 15 hours, or until the yogurt has reached the desired firmness.
- Refrigerate to stop the process
Skim milk powder, ascorbic acid, active lactic bacteria (l. casei, b. longum, l. bulgaricus, s. thermophilus, l. acidophilus).
This product is manufactured in a facility that manipulates products that contain wheat, soy, eggs, milk and fish (including shrimp).

I like this product. My Yogurt maker holds temperature in the low 80's, so the time to make the yogurt is close to 24 hours when starting with the freeze-dried culture. Not a problem, just a bit longer than I expected. The time is less when starting with a spoonful of yogurt instead of the freeze-dried culture. The yogurt is very pleasant, with a mild flavor. The service from iHerb was fast and efficient.

This yogurt has a very pleasant taste and light consistence, additionally the good fact that it contains probiotics.
