Product Overview

A North American native plant first grown by farmers in Mexico, Corn (Zea mays) has been cultivated for over 7000 years. By the time Columbus arrived in the New World, Corn was being grown from Canada to the tip of South America, but was largely unknown in Europe. Columbus recorded in his journals the many virtues of corn as taught by the Native Americans. Corn, with all its uses, has spread around the world. Cornsilk is the fine, silky, yellowish threads that stick out from the tip of the ear of corn. Cornsilk may be used fresh or dried and has a long history of health virtues.

For more than 75 years, long before it became fashionable, Alvita was championing the profound health-giving properties of herbal teas. We travel to the far reaches of the globe for the finest herbs, the best growers, the most precious sources.

Small wonder that so many consumers trust the Alvita name. Today, it stands for more than 100 different teas, including classic single herb varieties, and our unique Alvita blends. The package you hold in your hand combines ancient herbal wisdom with modern science, and brings to you all the richness and benefits of herbal teas. This philosophy is the very reason why you will find sensible, English pillow style tea bags that are oxygen bleached, not chlorine treated. And why you won't find any strings, tags or staples.

We thank you for choosing out product, but more importantly, we thank you for the trust you've put in the herbal values that we all share.

Alvita. Natural Herb Teas That Are Good For You And The Environment.

Suggested Use

The best way to make a good cup of tea is by the infusion method. Place one tea bag in a cup and add no more than 6 oz. of boiling water. Let steep for 3 minutes. Press the bag before removing to enhance the flavor. Add honey to sweeten.

Cornsilk Tea Bags

Posted by Reviewer1564044 on May 25, 2009

I was very happy with my order for the Alvita Tea Bags, Cornsilk Tea. I have been trying to reorder this item and have been very disappointed to find I can no longer get this. It has been a wonderful aid in preventing kidney stones. I add it to our tea daily and for the first time in many years, there have been no new stones. It has been a miracle product for us. Please get back to me if there is a source of cornsilk tea bags available from a safe source.

helpful for bladder conditions

Posted by Reviewer2137897 on Jul 23, 2008

Been helpful in my bladder condition. Makes a nice soothing, palatable non-bitter tea. Iced tea makes a great alternative to soft drinks. I mix with green tea, dandelion tea, honey & lemon for ice tea mix.
