You Can See Our Quality!
Our Baking Soda is made from the deposits of mineralized sodium bicarbonate. It is extracted by an all-natural water process that uses no chemicals. When used in combination with acidic ingredients, such as buttermilk or molasses, it releases carbon dioxide that causes the batter or dough to rise. It's also a great household cleanser and odor absorber.
Bob's Red Mill products labeled Gluten Free are batch tested in our quality control laboratory. We use an ELISA Gluten Assay test to confirm that a product is gluten free.
Since starting this company over thirty years ago, our mission has always been to offer the most diverse array of stone ground, whole grain products. About ten years ago, we noticed that some folks were exclusively buying gluten free grains like brown rice, sorghum and quinoa. Soon after that, we learned all about celiac disease and gluten intolerance and how serious they are to millions of people like you.
We've also learned that "naturally gluten free" just isn't good enough. Over the years we have introduced a variety of measures to ensure purity in our line of gluten free products that have become industry standard. We inspect all farm deliveries, use dedicated gluten free production facilities and employ batch testing in our quality control laboratory. Knowing that we're providing safe and delicious gluten free foods that you and your family can trust makes it all worth the effort.
To your good health,
Aside from acting as a leavening agent in baking, sodium bicarbonate can be used for many wonderful things. Here are just a few.

- Controlling Litter Box Odors
- Brushing Teeth

I ordered 4 boxes of of this product to share with friends as we were all ready to try the "Bicarbonate Protocol" for establishing a normal body pH and to actually target any growths in the body due to candida (Yeast) or parasites. We don't know the results yet, but, we are all healthy women in our 50's and want to stay that way! It is so good to know we can get an Aluminum Free Baking soda from such a great company at such a reasonable price! Many Thanks, J.C.
We want to order3 more lbs. We use it in our cancer treatment for curtailing breast cancer.

I consume a teaspoon of this several times a week to stay regular and alkaline. Works great. And aluminum free. I also use it for baking of course.

Since I was worried if this product contains aluminum, i contacted the manufacturer and got this from them. Very useful! And now i can keep reordering the product! 'We only offer one type of Baking Soda, an all-natural product that is mined from the Earth. Like most of our other products, our Baking Soda is minimally processed—it is simply a product of nature; nothing is added, nothing is taken out. Recently, we took the statement “aluminum free” off of the label because there may be naturally occurring traces of aluminum in our Baking Soda. While the amount of aluminum is extremely low, we feel that omitting the term “aluminum free” will avoid any confusion or misleading claims with our customers. It is the same Baking Soda that it has always been if you have purchased this item before.'
