The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Semolina is the essential ingredient for making authentic handmade Italian pastas. It contains an exceptionally high percentage of gluten, which is what makes a pasta strand stretch and not break apart when cooking. Bob's Red Mill uses only premium quality, pure Durum Wheat and grinds it to Semolina's traditionally sandy texture. Try our simple handmade pasta recipe on the back of this package.
Many people prefer making pasta using 50% Semolina and 50% Unbleached White Flour. Semolina can also be added to pizza dough and other baking recipes.
Keeps best refrigerated or frozen
Basic Pasta Recipe
1 1/2 cups Bob's Red Mill Semolina Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt, optional
2 Eggs or 3 Egg Whites, beaten
2 Tbsp. Water
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Combine Bob's Red Mill Semolina and salt. Add beaten eggs (or egg whites), water and oil. Mix to make a stiff dough. Knead 10 minutes or until dough is elastic. Wrap dough in towel or place in plastic bag and let rest 20 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll out to desired thickness and cut as desired. Bring large pot of water containing 1/2 tsp. oil to boil. Add pasta and cook until tender. When making lasagna, no need to boil noodles. Add directly to your recipe. Serve with your favorite sauce or pesto or toss with olive oil or butter, pepper and parmesan cheese.
