Organic whole wheat flakes with plump organic raisins
What matters most is what's inside... the box: We believe pure ingredients taste better and are naturally nutritious, so that's what we use.
We take U.S. grown organic whole wheat berries, complete with bran and germ, the way nature intended, and steam them until soft, roll them into flakes and oven-toast them. Since the organic raisins are naturally sweet, we add just a touch of barley malt to enhance the natural sweetness of the whole grains.
What matters is what's inside...you: Fiber is important for digestive health. Insoluble and soluble fiber both work to keep your digestive system operating properly. Fiber can help lower cholesterol, improve digestion and prevent constipation. It also helps you feel fuller longer and thus can be considered helpful for losing weight or maintaining it.
Since 1966, Erewhon has led the organic revolution and we remain passionately committed to providing the purest organic foods. Like many people today you might actually find yourself wary of packaged foods. "If what you eat is good, and pure, and true to its source, all else will follow". This philosophy shaped Erewhon organic cereals. The name Erewhon (Air-wahn) comes from a 19th century novel by Samuel Butler. Erewhan was a utopia where each person was responsible for her/his own health, something we strive to make possible with Erewhon organic cereals.
Enjoy by the bowl, sprinkled over yogurt or in your favorite muffin recipe.

Best Natural Tasting Cereal

This is by far the best raisin bran yet. It's not mashed mixed wheat turned into flakes but the whole grain rolled out. The taste is more natural and real. The ratio of raisins is good and not dried out with extra sugar just to make it palatable like this one. It has a natural sweetness to it and is a better alternative than the "2 scoops" brands
Didnt like that

There is too much whole grains in it.
I love this cereal. I think I'm hooked. Tried other grocery-store cereals and nothing beats this one. Healthy, delicious, and filling. Couldn't ask for more!

I mistakenly ordered this thinking it was another brand, though, not the same as that brand, it keeps my blood sugar levels stable. I can eat a bowl of this, topped with flaxseeds and almonds and I am good to go.

Yes, it needs a little sweeting (I personally add some Ideal Brown, really gives it that homey taste) but this cereal is FAR AND AWAY one of my all-time favorites. Perfect amount of fiber/protein/density/sweetness to be a filling, satisfying and delicious breakfast (or anytime snack). I love with with some almond milk and cinnamon! plus--this is the LOWEST SUGAR version of this cereal I've found *anywhere.* Well worth coming back again and again!! I'll probably have to start ordering it in bulk now!!
