N-Acetyl Tyrosine is an acetylated derivative of the amino acid L-tyrosine. Ordinary L-tyrosine is less stable and also less soluble in water, which may result in reduced bioavailability. Acetylation enhances the solubility and stability of certain amino acids.
N-Acetyl Tyrosine supports brain function by supporting the synthesis of the catecholamines norepinephrine and dopamine (neurotransmitters).
Usage: Take 1 capsule 1 or 2 times per day, preferably with juice on an empty stomach or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.
Cellulose, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and silicon dioxide. Capsule consists of gelatin.
No wheat, no gluten, no soybeans, no dairy, no egg, no fish/shellfish, no peanuts/tree nuts.
Note: If you have a medical condition (especially bipolar, high blood pressure, or a history of malignant melanoma), are pregnant, lactating, trying to conceive, under the age of 18, or taking medications (especially MAO inhibitors), consult your qualified healthcare professional before using this product.

This type of Tyrosine is ideal for anyone wanting optimal benefit. The N-Acetyl Tyrosine is soluble in water unlike the L-Tyrosine. Also the dosing is much smaller considering the absorption is greater. I liked that Jarrow put Vitamin B6 in it because that vitamin is needed for Tyrosine's conversion to certain neurotransmitters. I recommend this whether you take it in capsule form or open up the capsules and take it as a powder. Any N-Acetyl Tyrosine is worth the extra cost compared to the L-Tyrosine in my opinion.
Dopamine is responsible for the feeling of well-being and prevention of depression. As there are no drugs available to boost this neurotransitor for non-Parkinson's patients, tyrosine is the only substance available to take to boost these levels. (and the n-acetyl form has shown to be most effective). Most commonly depression is related to a serotonin deficiency, but the second most common neurotransmitter assisting depression is dopamine. If 5HTP doesn't help (to raise serotonin levels) then the logic next step is to try tyrosine. It's best taken on an empty stomach. It's good to boost thyroid hormone in patients with hypothyroid as well.

I started 1capsule a day to 25capsules per one swallow, but nothing has changed.just causes nausea and diarrhea. I drunk with sweet beverage, with vitamin c, with vitamin B or any othoer ways that suggested , but never works. or, my emptinesses are not serotonin or dopamine problems... for the moment, Ill take the Source Natural's N-Acetyl L-Tyrpsine and NOW's normal L-Tyrosine aggain.

I can't really feel this working. Maybe I need to take more. Jarrow products are always the purest. Which is why I tried this, even though I could feel regular NOW l-tyrosine working.
350mg of... Nothing

I definitely notice when I take the L form, even on it's own - when I took this, nothing. Tried again (at different times) - more nothings. I notice some of the good reviews mention it's taken along with other things - perhaps that's the secret. If this review was helpful to you, please click YES below - thank you.
