Helps Absorb fat-soluble nutrients

Posted on Jan 31, 2014

13 people found the following review helpful

If you're going through all the expense of taking fat-soluble nutrients – Like vitamin E (alpha, beta, delta and gamma Tocopherols & alpha, beta, delta and gamma Tocotrienols) vitamin D3 & vitamin K2... High Quality Omega 3 & High Quality Organic Evening Primrose Oil & CoQ10... and all those powerful antioxidant carotenoids – like Lycopene, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Meso-zeaxanthin and Astaxanthin... than you need to make sure that you are getting the most bang out of them – by absorbing them properly. And that's where Ox Bile comes in. It gets those nutrients into your bloodstream – where they can do you some good.

A must for winter

Posted on Nov 25, 2013

I had always felt slightly cold in late November through February, when the cold sea air comes down from the Norwegian Sea. But then I discovered these lovely little tablets, and now my body-thermostat regulates my temperature properly, and I can go outside in the bitter-wind of winter and still feel warm. And I can dial down my thermostat by ten degrees – and still produce all the heat I need, without feeling cold at all. I take three a day, when the temperature drops below freezing. Or four a day, when it becomes extremely cold. And my body produces heat like a little furnace. I can have my windows open in January and the cold doesn't phase me. In summer, I have no need of taking these. But in winter, this is one of those strange things, that makes all the difference – to your quality of life. Especially, if you live in Northern Latitudes.

An Excellent Nutritional Foundation

I must have tried about a dozen different multi-vitamins brands – but I always come back to this one, because it's beautifully balanced and it works. Throw in some vitamin K2 from one of the Life Extension formulas... some extra Vitamin D3... some extra vitamin C with Bioflavonoids... some extra CoQ10... some Now Kelp Powder for Iodine and trace minerals(and Kelp also has beautiful detoxification properties)... some Pure Essence Super D-K Calcium Plus – for Calcium & Magnesium... a high-quality bottle of liquid Norwegian Cod Liver Oil – by Twinlab, Carlson or Nature's Answer... some high-quality Evening Primrose Oil – by Carlson, Source Naturals or Barlean's... and you've got the beginnings of a beautiful foundation.

A well-rounded Herbal Nootropic

Posted on Nov 07, 2015

This makes for a wonderful well-rounded herbal nootropic, and helps to rejuvenate the adrenal glands – which our often overstressed in our modern society. I add a teaspoon or two, along with four organic raw egg yolks (a naturally rich source of choline) to my Hawaiian Spirulina/Flaxseed smoothie. If I wish to further increase the nootropic effects, I add 50mg of MRM Pregnenolone, 500mg of NOW Foods DMAE, 500mg of NOW Foods Pantothenic Acid, 1000mg of Primaforce Acetyl L-Carnitine, and two Country Life Coenzyme B-Complex Caps. Taken together – it's like being on a rail at full speed – the mind becomes razor-sharp, without having to resort to a morning coffee fix, sparing the adrenal glands of caffeine-driven over-stimulation.

Tastes Great – Good Balance of Nutrients.

Posted on Dec 21, 2013

I love this stuff. It has an excellent balance of nutrients and I love the sour-lemonade taste. I take it before bed and it makes me sleep like a baby. Prior to this, I was using “Magnesium Serene” by Source Naturals before bed, but it tended to clump when mixing it. This one dissolves straight away – and it tastes better too. And not only that – but it has a complement of added nutrients which aren't found in the Magnesium Serene product. I haven't tried the Orange-Vanilla Flavor yet, but I'm definitely going to try that one too. I like the nice balance of nutrients in this product.

My Go-to Formula

Posted on Oct 11, 2015

The flushed skin sensation is something I actually enjoy, and look forward to. It's the very reason I use this form of Niacin – because it dilates the capillaries. And it's the opening-up of those capillaries, which allows increased circulation of nutrients and oxygen. So I take a capsule two or three times a day, depending on the number of meals I eat. I take it with my “Thorne Research Basic Nutrients IV with Copper and Iron,” and other supplements – to insure that my nutrients get delivered to every cell in the body. For that alone – it's worth its weight in gold. But as a bonus, I also find that it's an incredible mood booster, easing the mind and relaxing the lungs – which makes for restful sleep, especially when taken with L-Tryptophan. When I want to rev up my methylation cycle – to increase my cognitive powers, I take a high-dose of methyl-B12 and methyl-folate. When I want to dampen the methylation cycle – for relaxation purposes, this 1000 mg Niacin capsule is my go-to formula.

Super-duper, full of goodness

The highest quality oils – always offer the most nutrients. Compare the Vitamin A and E level of this Red Palm Oil – to other Red Palm Oils. Can you see the difference? The devil is always in the details. And if it's higher in Vitamin A and E, it's also higher in all the other carotenoids – because that's just the nature of things. The Red Palm fruit is steamed before pressing. But this actually enhances the extraction of vital nutrients – by breaking down the cellulose walls that encapsulate them... same way as steaming a carrot, enhances the release of its nutrients. Think about it. Yes, there's a reason it's done that way. Anyway – this is the one I use, and it's super-duper, full of goodness.

These could be for you

Posted on Sep 12, 2014

I don't mind swallowing tablets or capsules myself – but my wife absolutely hates it, so I have to find her powders and chewables and gummies, in nearly every supplement category. For the Multi-Vitamin category, this is the one that she likes the best. And it's probably the most comprehensive of all the chewables, and believe me – I've looked at all of them. And I don't have to do a big song and dance to get her to take them. In fact, she always reminds me when she's run out of them, as she's become quite fond of them. They're not exactly steak and lobster, but I've crunched on a few of them myself and they don't taste half-bad. If you're the type of person that gets all fidgety when it comes time to swallowing pills, than these chewables could be for you.

BEST Evening Primrose Oil

Posted on Nov 27, 2014

I actually like this one even better than, Barlean's Evening Primrose Oil. It seems fresher and cleaner tasting, and the capsule casing is much softer. When it comes to oil-based supplements, Carlson Labs makes top quality stuff.

I like these

I like these. They taste like the raw cake-mix that you ate when you were a kid. And they're not half-bad for what they've got inside. Calcium, Magnesium, D3 & K2

Fantastic tasting salt.

Posted on Feb 01, 2016

Fantastic tasting salt. If you're a foodie like me who enjoys depth of flavour – it's like manna from heaven. It's got a beautiful mild taste with subtle but inspiring mineral tones – lifting your dishes to the next level – with the fresh taste of the sea. I use this on all my seafood dishes. I gently crush a hefty pinch with a mortar and pestle and add it to the beer batter, whenever I make a basket of Giant Sea Scallops. It takes the flavour to the next level. And for those who like a flame-grilled Porterhouse Steak – crush equal parts of this Celtic Sea Salt with Tellicherry Special Extra Bold Peppercorns – and man, you've got yourself a picnic on the moon. And for those worried about Iodine (which I agree, is super important to optimal health), mix three parts of this Celtic Sea Salt – with one part Now Foods Kelp Powder, which is made from two distinct species of Kelp – and not only will you be getting all the iodine you need, but you'll be getting a host of other minerals too. And to boot – is delicious.
