I'd been suffering from H. Pylori, and couldn't seem to shake it off (cloves, cinnamon, garlic). I've added this to my smoothies, and also a separate probiotic (reviewed elsewhere on my page), and after a week and a half, it's gone. My stomach feels fine, and I've got increased energy. The powder tastes a bit sweet, but it also has a strong but pleasant taste at the same time; it's hard to describe. I guess I've never had those 4 fruits (goji, acai, pomegranate, and mangosteen) in combination before. I'll be reordering soon.
I am a huge shea butter fan (no, I don't put it on my pancakes). I've used other brands, infused with aloe vera, lemongrass, olive oil, etc. but I've found that many of them went on oily. I've been using this one for about 2 weeks, and while it is tough to get activated (it's hard, and you have to rub vigorously to get it to soften), once it's on your skin, it's not greasy at all, just luxuriant and smooth. The scent is mild, but noticeable, and in a good way. This combo of frankincense and myrrh is a definite reorder. Love it.
I'd been suffering from leaky gut and H. Pylori. I've been taking other things, so I'm not sure if this alone did the trick (probably not), but it certainly deserves mention for being in the mix. Stomach feels fine now, and energy level is up.
Mild in every sense

While I'm glad that product contains natural ingredients, and cinnamon is a good thing to be included, the overall effect was minimal at best. I found the cinnamon flavour to be mild, and the breath-freshening aspect of the toothpaste was marginally effective. I had to use a lot on the brush, and brush twice before feeling comfortable enough to head out in the morning. The clean feeling wore off rather quickly. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because it's a natural product, and while it wasn't harsh in any way, and didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, it just didn't provide the results I want in a toothpaste. For the record, I am a satisfied consumer of other Now brand products.
Love the mild yet distinctive flavour. No chalky residue after brushing. Teeth are noticeably whiter after just 2 weeks of use. No abrasive, chemical action on the enamel, just a natural cleansing feeling. Tired of wondering just what was going on in my mouth when using commercial toothpastes. I won't be using those again, and will be reordering this product soon.
I'd read a review on WebMD, which I found to smack of paranoia. It said, and I paraphrase, "Canadian hemp is not as effective as digoxin, and has more side effects". Hmm, ok. I guess if they mean, by side effects, that your cholesterol will be lowered, and your anxiety may lessen to to a calmer heart, then fine. I love the taste of these hemp hearts; chewy and nutty flavour. As a fellow Canadian, it's nice to see a homegrown (no pun intended) product on iHerb. I'll be reordering soon.
Goes Great in Smoothies
Tastes like you'd expect a high-protein nutty/seedy kind of thing to taste. Really adds a nice flavour to my morning smoothies. I can't yet rip a New York telephone book (do they still print those?) in half, but my energy level is up. This could well be a part of the reason why. I'm also adding other supplements that I'll review separately.
Doesn't dry out skin. It lasts a long time. Gentle scent; not overpowering. Feels more like a cream than a soap, and doesn't leave a filmy residue. After drying off, skin is neither dry nor oily. Good balance.
I've used this product before, and it seemed to have noticeably more Mother at the bottom than this batch. It doesn't burn going down, and I mix it with tea and Manuka to keep the sour factor to a minimum. I'm keeping my weight down, and suspect this is an important part of the reason why.
My guess is that the product is quite beneficial, but at first sniff, my dog wouldn't touch her meal. Next meal, I put stronger smelling people food in with her dry food, and there was no problem. She's had a problem with occasional vomiting. I'll monitor the situation, and report any improvement in a later post.
Great taste, although strongly sweet. Has a nice raw texture, and feels like it's quite potent. I'm suffering through my worst allergies ever this season, and I am curious if this is a case of it getting worse before it gets better. Will the honey help? Time will tell.
