Just the right dosage per capsule

Most of the CoQ10 dosage out there are ridiculously large. This is just right for me to adjust the dosage for myself and is obviously small enough for my dog as well. Hope they don't decide to discontinue this product in the future.
No magnesium stearate and/or steric acid added.

This is one of the few brands of alpha lipoic acid that comes without the harmful excipients of magnesium stearate and/or steric acid added. These substances are only added to aid in the ease of filling the capsules on the manufacturing floor. They serve as powder lubricants in capsules and as binders in tablets manufacturing. In high doses magnesium stearate and/or steric acid is toxic to the liver and when this is used as excipients in most capsules and tablets, it all adds up to high doses when you have to take more than one type of nutraceuticals per day that contains these two excipients. I choose to buy this over other brands because of the lack of magnesium stearate and/or steric acid as excipients and also because it comes in much smaller doses than most brands and this is convenient to give to people of smaller body sizes and to dogs as well. Alpha lipoic acid is nothing short of being the best repair/regenerative nutrient for damaged or diseased livers, even at the late stage of liver disease, and Dr. Burton Berkson, M.D has been the first person in the U.S to successfully bring hopeless cases of end stage liver patients back to health without resorting to liver transplants by just using alpha lipoic acid, silymarin and selenomethionine, along with some B-complex, vit. E, C and CoQ10.
Excellent product but ridiculously expensive.

Excellent product but ridiculously expensive for a 3 amino acid molecule and this is driving most people to make their own liposomal glutathione since most people can not afford long term consumption of this product without breaking the bank. If it was about the price of the liposomal vitamin C, then more people would forgo making their own and can afford to keep buying this product for long term use. Too bad the price is ridiculously expensive. 5 stars for product efficacy minus 2 stars for the high price tag = 3 stars.
Powder is always purer than capsules or tablets.

Best TMG on iherb because it is in powder form and therefore do not contain any other unwanted excipients like magnesium stearate or stearic acid that most low quality capsules and tablets contains. These days everyone who takes supplements should have an electronic weight scale that weights in the milligrams (mg) for powders because these scales are so cheap and reliable coming from China. No excuses for not owning one! Iherb should make more powder forms of all other nutrients available for purchase whenever possible.
Now Foods has recently downgraded the quality of this product.

Now Foods has recently downgraded the quality of this product. They used to include rice powder as excipient and hence used less of the nasty stearic acid. Recently I discovered that they no longer use any of the rice powder. Instead they used more of the nasty stearic acid because they've take away the rice powder altogether. Rice powder is only used in quality capsules to replace all the nasty stuffs like stearic acid and/or magnesium stearate. These nasties coats the active ingredient with a waxy surface that significantly reduces the absorption of the active ingredient into the body. The only reason cheap manufacturers use Stearic acid and/or magnesium stearate is because it makes the encapsulation process much easier whilst sacrificing on absorbability and efficacy. Stearic acid and magnesium stearate also induces inflammation. If you take a handful of supplements from Now Foods (or any other cheap brands that uses these nasty excipients), chances are you take in a lot of these nasty stuffs every day, as well as the fact that your body gets to absorb only very little of the active ingredients. Well done Now Foods, not only have you just downgraded your product quality but your company's reputation as well. One star from me is considered generous, because instead of hoping you'd upgrade the quality of your excipients in capsules, you downgrade them instead. I might have to switch to the UltraThistle brand which uses only rice powder as the sole excipient in their silybin phytosome capsules. Hope Iherb would stock this quality brand in the future.
