Taking Krill oil AND fish oil

Posted by DAB598 on Feb 05, 2012

This stuff is supposedly better absorbed because of the additional phospholipids. Fine, but Now's Neptune Krill Oil is ten times the dosage for a lower price; I'm going back to that.

I use one Taurine plus 2 GABA to get to sleep earlier, and sleep longer.

Like that it is just the goods

Posted by DAB598 on Feb 19, 2012

No preservatives, fillers, anything else that's not olive leaf here. And at a very good price. What's not to like!

I use these drops mostly to deal with age spots

Posted by DAB598 on Oct 10, 2011

The age spots on my hands and my wife's face have become noticeably lighter and smaller, by simply applying this oil daily or twice daily (can't say we've been rigorous about it) -- anyway, it seems to be working!

Pricey, but this is my third bottle, and won't be the last

Posted by DAB598 on Feb 19, 2012

I use this along with cottage cheese to deal with prostate cancer (the Johanna Budwig protocol)- seems to be working so far: my PSA has gone down from 7.8 to 5.6 in consecutive tests at 3-month intervals - next test is coming up in a couple of weeks, and I have high hopes.

Using Dr. Sinatra's recipe to keep the ticker healthy

That recipe is: Fish oil, CoQ10, L-Carnitine, Magnesium, and D-ribose. I take this combo once per day.

Great way to get the polyphenols

Posted by DAB598 on Feb 19, 2012

I also take resveratrol - between these, I think I'm assisting my immune system in battling against metabolic syndrome and prostate cancer, brought on, no doubt, by years of inattention to proper nutrition.

Nice to find a high dosage

One of these per day helps glucose absorption very noticeably.

This stuff seems to make my colds go away quicker

Posted by DAB598 on Oct 14, 2011

I don't get many colds, but when I do, they generally last 7-10 days - not any more since I started using Cordyceps at the first sign of a cold symptom. Twice now in a few months, the cold was gone in under 4 days.

Prostate Cancer

Posted by DAB598 on Apr 04, 2012

Having been recently diagnosed with Stage 1 (Gleason Score 6) Prostate Cancer, I've been studying as though for midterms. I've settled on Prosta-Strong, Broccolive, R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, and a diet that includes broccolli and tomatoes three meals per day. [Update: okay three meals per day of cruciferous veggies turns out to be not so good for the thyroid, so scratch that] I'll probably add a few other supplements as I learn more. Anything to avoid the butchery.

Niacin Inositol Hexanicotinate does NOT help control cholesterol!

Posted by DAB598 on Apr 04, 2012

.. and the fact that I did not notice that until I had already taken massive doses for quite a few weeks is entirely my own fault. Had I read the numerous product reviews, I would have quickly noticed that everyone was writing about its use as a calmative, not for cholesterol. It IS flush-free, though - but don't bother with this or any other flush-free niacin for cholesterol control. I've been using Cayenne, Cinnamon and Chromium for months, and have recently increased my dosage of Alpha Lipoic Acid from 200 mg to 900 mg daily. I've now dropped the Inositol [I'm pretty calm by nature, so can't justify continuing it], replacing that with 500 mg Niaspan daily, which has me flushing nightly - not due for the blood test for a few more weeks, but this will probably do the job - anything to avoid taking statins!
