I have recently started taking Jarrow Formulas PQQ. The correct dosage for PQQ seems to be 20-60 mg per day. I take 40 mg per day. Some people feel a lot from PQQ (I certainly do feel it) and some people feel absolutely nothing. When I take PQQ I feel that my body heats up, I have more energy and I get a lot less hungry, sometimes to the point where I forget to eat. It helps me with my diet. I have also tried Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer with BioPQQ from Life Extension - that's how I got introduced to PQQ. It is a more complete supplement which targets mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell. Some people recommend taking Ubiquinol together with PQQ, it seems to improve memory. Obesity is a complicated health problem and nobody knows the true causes. Some experts believe that obesity appears because of unhealthy mitochondria - they can't turn fats into energy and so people feel hungry all the time and have difficulties burning fat. Supplements that target mitochondria, such as PQQ, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Alpha-Lipoic-Acid, Ubiquinol, Idebenone, MitoQ, Resveratrol can fix this problem and make it easier to lose weight. For more information, please look up "mitochondrial hypothesis of obesity". PQQ is also reported to help increase athletic endurance - it helps you go on and on and on. I have also felt this effect. PQQ may also help improve non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Helped my memory and concentration A LOT!

I have taken 2 g (8 caps) of Citicoline for 30 days. My memory has improved noticeably. Also, my thinking speed seems to be increased. According to research, Citicoline crosses the BBB (blood brain barrier) easily (unlike lecithine which can't cross the BBB easily), helps you rebuild the brain and also increases the dopamine receptor density. This makes you benefit more from your own dopamine neurotransmitter. Because of increasing dopamine action, Citicoline helps you decrease your cravings for foods. It also makes me feel good and energetic, it gives a subtle but pleasant feeling. I don't want the insane stimulation that Piracetam, Aniracetam or Pramiracetam gives. I want a nootropic which helps me keep my brain healthy long-term. Citicoline fulfills that purpose well. An alternative to Citicoline is Alpha GPC, which has a somewhat different effect. Alpha GPC is a growth hormone and GABA secretagogue, and makes you more quiet. Alpha GPC also helps with the gray hair. However, Citicoline remains my favorite.

I didn't have high hopes from this supplement. I ordered it mostly because the "Immortal Hair" web site recommends it for stopping hair loss (along with many other supplements). I discovered that it makes me feel very good and that it removes my hunger.

The best form of Omega 3

There are 3 forms of Omega 3: triglycerides, ethyl ester and phospholipids. This form (phospholipids) is the best of the 3 forms. It offers more brain, liver and heart benefits. It is especially helpful for fatty liver and attention issues (ADD / ADHD).

This is effective, but taking 5000 IU of D3 every day will make you very sleepy and is probably excessive. Should also contain vitamin K2 - vitamin D3 should always be taken with K2. It helped my knees immensely by increasing calcium uptake in bones (however, if you don't take it with K2, the calcium will also harden artery walls). Instead of this I recommend finding a product which contains only 1000 IU or less, and which also contains K2 (and also pay attention to the form of K2).

Some people feel a lot from PQQ (I certainly do feel it) and some people feel absolutely nothing. When I take PQQ (alone or as a part of this formula) I feel that my body heats up, I have more energy and I get a lot less hungry, sometimes to the point where I forget to eat. It helps me with my diet. Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer with BioPQQ from Life Extension is a complete supplement which targets mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell. PQQ may also help improve non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or NASH, as mitochondria play an important role in these liver diseases. The correct dosage for PQQ seems to be 20 mg - 60 mg per day. This is why, together with this excellent formula from LEF, I also take some pure PQQ from Jarrow.

Worst supplement I ever used

I started experimenting with both D-phenylalanine (DPA) and D,L-phenylalanine (DLPA) because I have read about them in "The Diet Cure" by Julia Ross. All the other advices in the book were very good and helped me a lot. But using DLPA or DPA proved to be catastrophic for me. In the beginning, DLPA and DPA (1 pill per day) gave me a pleasant feeling of relaxation. But afterwards I had horrible symptoms: horrible headaches, dizziness and hot flashes which went on for 2-3 days, in spite of the fact that I ceased taking them. I have tried using DLPA or DPA multiple times. Each time the symptoms above (horrible headache, dizzyness, feeling hot) manifested themselves. So, to me it is a horrible supplement, one of the worst experiences I had. DLPA and DPA had the same effect on me, so I'm posting the same text as reviews for both products that I used.

It is also a decarboxylation inhibitor, can be used instead of "carbidopa" and this means it can enhance the effect of Mucuna Pruriens and 5-HTP. Also good to take before a high carb meal, because it makes the calories go to the muscle instead of to the fat (this is called a partitioning effect).

Got muscle twitch from taking 2-3 caps of Alpha-GPC per day. Instead of this, I prefer Citicoline. It makes your memory sharper. It also stimulates the release of HGH (human growth hormone) which may help you lose weight and make gray hair return to its original color. It also makes you calmer because it stimulates GABA secretion. It's good to take before bed, as it helps you sleep. For memory I had much better results with Citicoline (CDP Choline).
