GIVES ME HAND TREMORS. Gives motivation by enhancing dopamine

Posted on Aug 14, 2012

I STOPPED TAKING IT BECAUSE IT GIVES ME HAND TREMORS. This is from my older review: If I feel unmotivated and I take 4 caps, I'm a lot more motivated, and think better. I'm able to concentrate better. It increases dopamine in the brain. Dopamine means "I WANT". Whatever I want in that moment, I want even more after taking Dopa Mucuna. This means I may overeat, for example.. or do a lot of exercise being highly motivated.

Helps me sleep and wake up happy

Posted on Jul 17, 2013

Tryptophan is a precursor of serotonin (the happy hormone) and melatonin (the sleep hormone). So, if you take it, your brain will make both melatonin (to help you fall asleep) and serotonin (to make you happy). I take 4-6 pills (2-3 grams) of Tryptophan every night. It gets me to sleep and keeps me sleeping better than Melatonin. I wake up happy and energetic as a result of serotonin production. It also produces sleep entrainment (if you take it at 10 PM, you will fall asleep at 10-11 PM, even if you stop taking it). After some time, it loses it's effect, and I have to switch to something else periodically. This is because there are some enzymes which break down tryptophan. The normal quantity of Trypthopan taken in through diet is 1.5-2 g. May reduce carbohydrate consumption. Most people overeat carbohydrates because carbs help tryptophan cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB). When obese patients were given 1,000 mg, 2,000 mg, or 3,000 mg doses of L-tryptophan one hour before meals to raise the amount of tryptophan, a significant decrease in caloric consumption was observed. The majority of the reduction in caloric intake was due to the amount of carbohydrates, not protein, consumed.

Best fish oil

Pharmaceutical grade distilled, no fish burps or fish oil regurgitation. Very, very good. Should be combined with Neptune Krill Oil and Flax Oil, because they contain different lipid profiles. . According to Dr. Jack Kruse, more Omega-3 is needed in winter. However, fish oil also decreases immunity a bit.

Very good

I am on my 6th or 7th bottle now. Very, very good prostate supplement. I have an enlarged prostate and used to have permanent infection which didn't go away with months of antibiotics (I had chronic prostatitis). After taking these for a few months, my problems are gone. No more infection, I can urinate normally. And this happens even if I stop taking them for a few weeks. Now I just take them as a prevention measure. Beta-sitosterol also inhibits testosterone to DHT conversion which may help you keep your hair on your head (the DHT, in time, kills the hair-producing folicles).

Makes me feel full and energized. Curbs my hunger. Contains Resveratrol and green tea extract so I can stop taking those. The taste is ok. I take 30 g every morning so the tub lasts exactly one month. Better value than other green drinks. I trust Now Foods more than I trust other companies which make green drinks (Consumer Lab recently tested 11 greens drinks and found toxic contaminants in 5 of them - contaminants such as arsenic, cyanide, lead).

Best multivitamin - well formulated and it DOES NOT INCREASE MY APPETITE!!!

Posted on Dec 10, 2013

This multivitamin (AOR Ortho-Core) is the best multivitamin available. It is very well formulated. I have taken many multivitamins (including the famous Life Extension Mix) and they ALL increase my appetite - which makes me gain weight. However, AOR Ortho-Core does not seem to increase my appetite, which is very importantant. I decided to take Ortho-Core with a greens supplement such as Vibrant Greens. Most multivitamins increase appetite. Doctors don't admit it, but if you carefully study each vitamin on PubMed, you will discover things such as: "Vitamin B6 speeds up gastric emptying". What happens after gastric emptying has been accomplished? You get hungry again! I still take a good multivitamin every day for the other health effects, which are comprehensively proven by science. In addition to a multivitamin, I take a good greens drink such as Vibrant Greens or Green Fields - which doesn't contain added vitamins.

A nice amount per pill (750 mg). I take this 3 times daily and it helps me with my thyroid, energy and general mood (tyrosine boosts dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine).

I have tried many forms of magnesium and this is the only form which gives me high energy. I use this during the day and magnesium threonate (which is highly sedating) at night. Magnesium orotate is more expensive than other forms - but the benefits make the cost worth it!

Also very hard on the stomach, gives you diharea. Can really help you lose weight. Hard to take from the bottle - I prefer MCT softgels.

In theory helps with the eyes. In practice I didn't notice any effect.

I think the eye strain and pain I have after working on the computer may be due to eye muscle strain and circulation strain, and not a problem with the retina (which Lutein helps). I have also taken Zeaxanthin from LEF, with no effect. Strange. I tried many brands of Lutein, with no effect. Instead of lutein, I recommend taking Idebenone (which had an effect on my tired eyes from the very first softgel I took) and Astaxanthin (which takes about 1 month to build up).
