Good product, but expensive on iherb

Posted on Feb 07, 2016

This is a good product I have been taking for 2 years or so. Wish it had no eccipients and that the capsules were vcaps. However, recently I have had to change suppliers because iherb has become more expensive than alternative suppliers. Now buying elsewhere.

Has helped with indigestion, digestive congestion/discomfort, irritability

Posted on Jan 09, 2016

Really happy with this product, wish I had found it earlier and that it lasted longer. I take 2 with meals, 3x day as prescribed. It has helped remarkably reduce or eliminate indigestion, slow/sluggish digestion, irritability and constant digestive discomfort (I was already taking Betaine HCI and enzymes but was still feeling sluggish until I started taking this) Changed my rating to 4 starts, because iherb's price for this product is now higher than some of its competitors' :-(

Great Product but buy it elsewhere

Posted on Nov 14, 2015

Great product, have been using it for a few years. Unfortunately, at the moment (Nov 2015), iherb does NOT offer a great price on it. It is currently $20.88 on iherb and $7 cheaper on another website... I recommend buying it elsewhere until iherb lowers its price.

100% magnesium bisglycinate (NOT buffered)

Posted on Nov 08, 2015

I buy this because it contains no nasty eccipients and is 100% magnesium bisglycinate, NOT a buffered form with lots of magnesium oxide in it. Taste: I would not describe it as pleasant, but had not really noticed it frankly. I mix it with water, mix it well and drink it. I am however someone who drinks green powders/drinks all day. You might want to mix in a smoothie if the taste bothers you.

Slight nausea, containe fructose (not good) but overall good to boost immune system

Posted on Oct 31, 2015

Don't bite into these, let them dissolve in your mouth. They work well to boost my immune system when I feel I may be low in zinc or when travelling (particularly flying). However: - they make me slightly nauseous at times - I dislike the fructose in them. Nature's Way, please remove the fructose!!!

Changed formula

Posted on Oct 11, 2015

This is a conditioner SPRAY to use as a leave-in conditioner. I purchased a few years ago as a moisturising, in-between washes conditioner (to deal with frizz) and it worked fine like that. However... the formula has CHANGED!!! I still have the old bottle here (Exp: 04/10), first ingredient then was Aqua (water). The new formula, according to iherb information, lists alcohol (den.) as its first ingredient, NOT what I need to put on my already DRY hair! Why do they always have to mess with what works, make a new product instead. BEWARE of new formula. You cannot use the old feedback as guide, as those refer to the old formulation.

Used to love it but now looking elsewhere

Posted on Jul 06, 2015

I used this after sunbathing... not only did it cool down my skin, but it also removed the excessive redness on my mum's face. Also, the mintiness seems to reduce the itching of the mosquito bites (not a problem here in the UK, but definitely in other countries...). UPDATE: It currently (July 2015) scores *3* overall on skindeep database PROBLEMS INGREDIENTS: 1) SODIUM HYDROXYMETHYLGLYCINATE (FORMALDEHYDE RELEASER !!! - Score 6 !!!) Cancer, Allergies/immunotoxicity, Contamination concerns (FORMALDEHYDE), Use restrictions - Data: Limited - 2) PHENOXYETHANOL (Score: 4) Allergies/immunotoxicity, Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs), Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive), Occupational hazards, Use restrictions Not happy about these ingredients, so I am looking elsewhere. I also think the tube has become smaller over the years and therefore the product is more expensive than before.

Calcium carbonate?

Posted on Jun 20, 2015

3 people found the following review helpful

Not used regularly for long-term digestive issues (previous H. Pylori infection, GERD etc), because it does not help at all in the short term (made things worse). It seems that it is weaker than Source Naturals' which could be because they recommend taking two capsules twice a day (while Doctor's Best recommend just one capsule twice a day), the PepZin content in one capsule is the same. Other concern: The Doctor's Best PepZin GI bottle I purchased a year ago lists "calcium carbonate" as the first ingredient in the "other ingredients" list. Now, that is an unwelcome discovery, as this ingredient is used as an antacid and so could well impair digestion. Iherb does not list calcium carbonate, so you may want to double-check before you purchase. Hope this is useful.

works but has some unwanted ingredients

Posted on May 31, 2015

Ingredient list includes calcium carbonate (which surely suppresses digestion?), magnesium stearate and stearic acid which are no good for us / I try to avoid AND corn starch (<2%), when we know corn is a known allergen. Why include these? Sucrose (sugar) is also in the ingredient, though a small amount.
