Be warned - has been found to be tainted with Lead, Cadmium and other heavy metals

Just read in Natural News online that three different labs have verified that this Raw Protein has heavy concentrations of heavy metals in it. Very upset because I ordered the Vanilla flavor one from iHerbs last year and consumed it within 4 months - and am now wondering if my current gynaelogical problems are connected to it in any way. Have not heard it the Raw Meal is tainted as well, but I would be even more upset if it was as I feed that to my son. Waiting to see if Natural News'll publish any more findings. UPDATE: Within 24 hours, Natural News has removed their previous publication of the lab findings, and reports that GOL and SunWarrior have committed to visiting the farms from which they source brown rice and testing the water for heavy metals, and they have committed to achieving specific low limits on heavy metal content in their products. They do not contest the findings in the Natural News report, but GOL states that "Raw Protein remains and always has been safe... these results, taken at face value, report levels that are entirely safe." Go to their website or the Natural News website to read the whole thing. Because of GOL's decent and conscientious response to this problem, I'm upgrading my review from one star to two. However, any amount of heavy metals, even if deemed "safe", seems too much for me. Best to avoid the product till GOL can address and rectify the problem at the source.

Been making chia gel - just 2 tbsp mixed in a cup of water - and adding it to baked goods, milkshakes, and puddings. It's great stuff! Love the slight crunch in puddings and drinks, and how it adds moisture to my gluten-free cakes. It's my first bag of chia, so I can't comment yet if this brand is better than another I've bought. Will update when the time comes.

The problem is that when I buy a gloss, I want something that gives me that wet lip look. Sorry, this just gives a little bit of shine. The colour is like a pale strawberry stain, very natural, and that's fine for me. Maybe natural/safe/non-toxic lip glosses just can't cut it? I'll continue the hunt, because I'm not going back to the chemical-laden ones for the sake of wet lips.

Exactly what I need

I live in a very sunny climate and get all my vitamin D that way. I wasn't keen on taking a Calcium supplement that had vitamin D added. I'd also read up and found out that the most easily absorbed Calcium is Calcium Citrate. Thus, this powder suits me just fine. I take it with juice and add some Now Magnesium powder, and the chalkiness doesn't bother me.

Great for the price

Well, of course I got it as a freebie, but I love the whole line of Sierra Bees Lip Balms for being so natural that I would definitely buy it once it's finished. Before this I was using Mukti's $22 organic lip balm made of macadamia nuts and honey (Australian brand I think). It was wonderful, but so pricey! Sierra Bees is not as moisturizing, but for the price I won't complain! The smell of the pomegranate and vanilla lip balms are both yummy. I'll comment further when I've tried all the other flavors.

Good

I'm not crazy about the smell, but it does what it should. I don't know how to describe the scent - a bit fruity, a bit of a heavy floral scent like night flowers, but It's not overpowering. The cream is a little more runny than other creams I use, and does leave a greasy feel, but the price is right. What I really like is the handy small size as I always want a tube of cream in my bag when I go out. Not a favourite, but I wouldn't mind buying it again.
