Cells need this stuff for energy production.
"Alpha lipoic acid is a fatty acid found naturally inside every cell in the body. It's needed by the body to produce the energy for our body's normal functions. Alpha lipoic acid converts glucose (blood sugar) into energy. Alpha lipoic acid is also an antioxidant, a substance that neutralizes potentially harmful chemicals called free radicals. What makes alpha lipoic acid unique is that it functions in water and fat, unlike the more common antioxidants vitamins C and E, and it appears to be able to recycle antioxidants such as vitamin C and glutathione after they have been used up. Glutathione is an important antioxidant that helps the body eliminate potentially harmful substances. Alpha lipoic acid increases the formation of glutathione." WEb MD
My response to lithium orotate was so overwhelmingly positive, I suspect some sort of conspiracy is afoot to keep it from public knowledge. Problems with Anxiety, Insomnia, Moodiness - completely solved with this nutrient. I can't recommend it enough.
This spice has some exciting health benefits. Many people are taking it in supplement form, but it needs fat to be absorbed by the body and so cooking with it may be best. Goes great on eggs, stirfry, you name it. Very common spice in Indian cuisine, it tastes really fragrant and good, very curry-esque. It's probably a main ingredient of curry come to think of it.
Suppose you don't want to take a bunch of different supplements. You want to make it easy on yourself. The problem is that many multi vitamins suck. They will have too much of one thing and not enough of another. Or certain vitamins may be in cheap, noneffective forms the body can't utilize. This multi is expensive, but it delivers the right nutrients in the right doses. Just look at that ingredient list. This is some seriously smart nutrition right here, and it's worth every penny.
Snacking on these and Golden Berries with dark chocolate = heaven... and it's ridiculously healthy too....
the science on curcumin is ridic promising
And this is the best way to take it. Smokers especially should take note for its anti lung cancer potential.
Reservatrol has been shown to add 1/3rd to a mice life expectancy. That's insane. Human trials are much more difficult to conduct, but the potential benefits are staggering. Days I don't drink any wine I'm definitely popping one of these. There doesn't seem to be any potential downside, and all sorts of upside.
"Choline must be consumed through the diet in order for the body to remain healthy. It is used in the synthesis of the constructional components in the body's cell membranes" Wiki
This is one of the more interesting supps on the market, being that it's derived from a zombie fungus that takes over other organisms and kills them. Supposedly it's great for humans and there is promising research to that effect. I consider this my "what the hell" supplement. Can't say I perceive an effect, but maybe it's saving my life or something. I have no idea.
Makes for very kissable mouths.
Great in smoothies
Maca has a really powerful and unique energy boost. Try it.
the best goji berries
like anything else, there is a huge quality curve when it comes to goji berries. Sometimes they are downright awful, shriveled and dusty tasting. These are not. Delicious, incredibly healthy snacking. I shovel em into my mouth by the handful.
