I think it helped me avoid type 2 diabetes and heart disease!

My family has a history of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. At 48, I was 80 pounds overweight and at high risk for developing both of these conditions. In spite of all this, my cholesterol and fasting blood sugar were not that bad only showing up as "high" on my blood tests this year. Now, I've lost over 40 pounds and my blood sugar and cholesterol are fantastic. I credit the 100mg twice a day of Coenzyme Q10 for keeping me healthy while I got my weight under control.

Very good product

I used to take large doses of evening primrose oil for menstural cramps (worked as well as narcotics for menstural pain). Now I take it because I'm trying to follow the low carb lifestyle and Dr. Atkins recommended it but for most of the products that I take, only time will tell if they helped reduce my risk of diabetes and heart disease.

No migraines!

Since I started taking this supplement (1 cap twice a day) I have not had a single migraine. I just hope there aren't any long term side effects. Please note that I purchased this brand because it was the only one that was free of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids which can be harmful.

My OB-GYN recommended this to me because I suffer from chronic pain and I'm also very sleep deprived (I'm talking only sleeping 1-2 hrs a night for 12 years) because of the severe pain and the nerve damage to my bladder which keeps me awake all night in the bathroom. Anyway, she said my system was flooded with cortisol (a stress hormone) constantly and thought this would help. It definately makes me feel more relaxed and along with the melatonin and L-tryptophan I'm sleeping a little better and I don't feel so stressed during the day.

Helps beat cold season!

I take echinacea everyday during cold & flu season (a minimal or half dose) then if I start to get a cold a take a full dose. Works like a charm.

I like this format better than the capsules which had a tendency to crack when stuffed in my pill box. The gel caps are easy to swallow to. I will definately stay with this brand.

Only time will tell if CoQ10 cuts my risk of heart disease but I can tell you the capsules are small and easy to swallow and don't leave you with an aftertaste.

Ineffective

I've taken Butterbur to prevent my migraines for awhile now and it works great. The only problem is the terrible herbal heartburn I get from the capsules. That's why when I stumbled across these softgels I stocked up thinking I would get the benefit of migraine relief without the nasty tasting side effect. Boy, was I wrong!!!! This brand gave me lots of heartburn and ZERO migraine relief. It did not prevent my migraines like the other brand I tried, nor did it reduce the duration of my migraines. What a waste of money!

I haven't noticed any side effects and I feel better just knowing that I'm getting enough vitamin D especially since I don't lay out in the sun and tan and the dark days of winter are fast approaching.
