Awesome, affordable hand cream

Posted on Apr 08, 2015

I'm so addicted to these hand creams, I have all three! This one has a nice, bright tangerine type of scent. If you like citrus you'll be all over it. It really feels rich and nourishing on dry hands, but it absorbs so easily and doesn't make your hands feel greasy. ***Check out my page for more product reviews. Do not recommend

This company has come under fire for not disclosing its ingredients. For the way it lathers and acts, it has some sort of sulfate in it. Not to mention, I found this shampoo incredibly drying. Even if there wasn't the issue of ingredients disclosure, I wouldn't purchase it again.

I own tons of brushes and use this one more than any other

My absolute favorite brush!!! And I have a ton. I could go on and on about how soft it is and how great it feels, but it is also quite functional. This is the best brush I've ever used for buffing powders into the face. For all over powders like bronzer and setting powder, it can be used to apply the product directly. But it's also great if you apply some blush or highlight with another brush (even if you put too much on), and then use this brush to blend it out. I have a ton of brushes, and when I picked this up I have to admit I was half thinking that I really didn't need it. But as it turns out, I really don't have another brush in my collection that can blend in face product this well, and I ended up using it almost every day. I also like the big handle - it's like a longer kabuki handle and I think it makes it easier to hold. The only downside is that it makes it difficult to fit into a cup with other brushes to store. The fact that it's cruelty free and made of bamboo and recycled material is another bonus. It's also an insanely good value. Normally a good quality dense brush like this would cost much more. Bottom line: If you use any sort of powder face products, you will love this brush! And the value is so great, you don't have to hesitate about whether it's worth it.

Pretty color but not as pictured.

I love the Honeybee Gardens pressed eyeshadows. The formula is great, with minimal fallout and nice pigmentation. They are also so much more affordable than any other natural shadow pans I've found. Mojave is an amazing crease color that creates that perfect shadow, it's just not like pictured. It's more of a light neutral to cool taupey brown, whereas in the photo it looks very warm and golden. It's actually extremely similar to Honeybee Gardens loose shadow in Chai. I love that color too, but probably didn't need both. **Check out my page for more product reviews. Best value on the market

Probably one of the cheapest natural mascaras available, and one of the best. It builds volume more than any natural mascara I have come across so far, and is best after its been open for a week or two. It contains a few questionable ingredients, but still is safer than most mascaras. It does not contain parabens, as some out of date websites list. If I can find something comparable with cleaner ingredients, I may switch over, but I have been purchasing this one every couple of months, for over a year and have been very happy with it. One important note is that the formula is very wet when you first open it. After a week or two when it has dried a bit, it works so much better to build volume!

Volumizing, but has a sticky texture and burns my eyes

Posted on Mar 02, 2014

This mascara is pretty volumizing for a natural mascara, and I like the effect it gives. However, the texture stays somewhat goopy even when it dries, which I really don't like. The worst part is that is burns really bad if it gets in your eyes at all, which really ends up ruining your makeup. I wouldn't repurchase this

Mildly irritating + didn't do much for my skin

I tried three of Andalou's toners and really didn't like any of them. My skin gets occasional breakouts and does have some visible pores, but I don't think this product particularly helped with either issue. The main thing is that it irritates my skin when I apply it, though my skin isn't really all that sensitive. And even though I love mint, I don't like the smell of this product. For breakouts I much prefer using a simple witch hazel product like the one from Humphrey's. The ingredients are nice, so if it was a little gentler I think it would be a nice option. *****Check out my page for more product reviews. Not the best

I don't think this is an ideal product for a couple reasons. Mainly, titanium dioxide is one of the SPF sources, and this mineral is not as safe as pure zinc oxide. It's also SPF 20, which isn't high enough for me. My derm recommends SPF 30 or higher for daily use. It has a sort of tropical scent that might be a pro or con, depending on what you like. It doesn't smell particularly natural. It goes on the skin very white, but absorbs on me and becomes clear. The main problem with the texture is that it is very thick and greasy. I just think there are better options out there with safer ingredients and a better texture too. Badger Balm makes the absolute safest sunscreens I have found. **Check out my page for more product reviews. Most natural witch hazel product on the market

Posted on May 12, 2015

I love Acure's toner! Witch hazel is one of my favorite ingredients because it's astringent and it helps fight acne, but most products either have a lot of alcohol in them, which is drying, or added preservatives. This one is the only one that's USDA Organic that I can find! In addition, the stinky witch hazel smell is offset nicely in this product by refreshing rosewater and red tea. I've repurchased several times! ***Check out my page for more product reviews. I am a natural beauty blogger that tries lots of stuff and knows a lot about natural products! Smells amazing, great ingredients, non-whitening.

Badger, the company that makes some of the healthiest of heathy sunscreens, has hit the nail on the head with this one. This formula goes smoothly onto the skin, with very minimal residue. It has a thinner consistency than other natural sunscreens I have tried, and is great to put on before face makeup because it doesn't interfere too much with the application. It also has a floral rose scent that I absolutely love. My only suggestion is that higher SPF would be nice, but this works great as a daily lotion to protect from daily sun exposure. Beyond performance, this sunscreen boasts a super clean ingredients list full of organic extracts, and the active ingredient is uncoated, non-nano Zinc Oxide — pretty much as good as it gets. For my super fair complexion, this is a new essential I'll be repurchasing again and again!

One of my favorite lip balms ever

Posted on Apr 17, 2015

I'm obsessed with this lip balm! It's so minty, soft and smooth, and it feels amazing on the lips. It's definitely a contender for my favorite lip balm ever. I don't even like dark chocolate, but there's just a hint of it here, and I think it's so nice. I recommend this one is you like soft lip balms and a strong minty tingly feeling. ***Check out my page for more product reviews. I am a natural beauty blogger that tries lots of products!***

Amazing brush for applying foundation and bronzer~

Posted on Mar 30, 2015

Another amazing brush from EcoTools, I love the new look with the bronze color ferrules. I have lots of brushes that are similar shapes, but this one is by far the absolute softest. Its super nice for buffing in blush, bronzer, highlight, or precise application of mineral foundation. So versatile, and for the price it really cannot be beat!
