another less than ideal formula

Posted by naturalrecovery on Nov 04, 2012

Although many mushrooms have anti-cancer effects and can cure viral infections, it is their most active parts--the mycelium that is the factor needed. These formulas now are only providing negligible amounts of the active compounds in the mushrooms...full spectrum means it has some mycelium...better than none, but this formula did nothing for me at all. My genetic makeup requires the compounds in shiitake mycelium. Everyone is different.

think you won't miss it yet something is missing...

Here is another of those that I had cut out when low on money, thinking it was just extra. Yellow dock is one of those very grounding, earthy herbs that helps with just about anything you have going on. In combination with other action herbs, it synergistically makes their action many times greater. This is a great source of natural healing for those with chronic conditions.

No fillers, or hard to swallow tablets. If you are looking for healing of the nervous system due to viral upset or injury, "two a day keeps the doctor away"!

ingredients a mystery

Posted by naturalrecovery on Jun 16, 2012

This product does not contain the active portion of the mushroom that makes it medicine--it appears that LEM is being siphoned off the marketplace due to importation adulterated batch a few years ago. All of this country's stock was being imported from China--none of the companies have LEM in their products anymore. It has been known for years that LEM is a medicine and the mycelium of the shiitake mushroom helps the immune system by enhancing the B and T cells to fight invaders. Researchers, and now medical clinics use compounds from these mushrooms against cancer of the testis, liver, and other contained organs, and China used it in the SARS epidemic some years ago. It has saved my life, and I have gone from surviving to thriving, after systemic organ failure in 1992.

1,000 a day keeps body together

This is a second review for L-lysine, with one comment that all L-lysine should be the same if natural and not cooked up (as in DL-lysine) in the lab. Many benefits for those with connective tissue disorders. Taken with vitamin C 1,000 mg each per day--try it, see if it is a benefit to you.

concentrated

Posted by naturalrecovery on Mar 24, 2011

Not as thick as the other brand I was using, and even though I bought four, seems to be less effective on the connective tissue problem causing pain between metatarsals.

unfortunate, but true

Posted by naturalrecovery on Jul 21, 2012

The label on the ad for this is old, as the company has replaced the blue for a brown, and the shiitake mycelium biomass with shiitake fruiting bodies. Fruiting bodies contain little of the original mycelium as it has changed and begun to form mushrooms. Why the herbal distributors are going by the old label still, I don't know, but this is the second company I have told that the company changed this product. The first company didn't care.

Good with LEM

Posted by naturalrecovery on Mar 26, 2010

This on its own upsets my digestive tract, but in combination with LEM they seem to work synergistically to fend off reoccurences of chronic viral infection in me.

part of my answer

Posted by naturalrecovery on Jun 30, 2012

I always take less than directed, and at first take very little so as not to be thrown for a loop. Within three days of taking probably a 1/3 recommended dose, I did notice tendons with the clinchers seemed to be able to relax. I also slept better at night so have opted to take it before bedtime. This will be added as a regular part of my personal formula--from the medicine wheel on the Natural Recovery web site.

fruiting bodies can mean many different things

Posted by naturalrecovery on Mar 28, 2014

Now when they say young fruiting bodies, this can be anything that forms from the substrate, which is a young mushroom. Thinking this is the most potent time for the healing factors, besides taking the mycelium itself, I was dismayed at the lack of potency of the product. I increased my dose to make up for the potency lost, but it still is not up to par with others I had taken. Unfortunately, all manufacturers have removed the pure mycelium from their products as we have run out after blockading the importation from China about 10 years ago.
