More energy, less grumpy

Even when I don't get enough sleep, I find I'm not as irritable when taking the Jarrow Formula cordyceps. I tried Doctor's Best, but it didn't have the "mood altering" effects of Jarrow Formula.
UTIs in elderly

My 82 year old mother does not get the usual UTI symptoms. No painful urination, or frequent urge to void. Instead she develops fecal incontinence and becomes sluggish, and less responsive. D-mannose works wonderfully if she remembers to take it. She recently switched from powder to capsules, hopefully the capsules work as well as the powder.
UTI in elderly

My 82 year old mother does not have the usual symptoms of UTI--urgency to void, or painful urination. When she does have a UTI, the symptoms are subtle: she becomes sluggish and less responsive. A sure sign though, is fecal incontinence, which is distressing for the both of us. She is allergic to Bactrim, and resistant to Cipro. She's tried the mannose capsules, which are more convenient to carry in her purse, but the capsules don't work as well as the powder.
