There is research that suggests that anything other than the pulp of the root can possibly be harmful to the liver (there is also research that says it's all harmful, but it's being reviewed and questioned because the research was done with a product that contained root peelings and other aerial parts of the plant - the participants were also hard-core alcoholics, so that's another thing). This is a very clean, high-quality - "root-only" product from a well-reputed strain of kava. I like the fact they explicitly state that there aren't any root peelings included either. If you want "root-only", and you probably do, this is one instantiation of such a creature. Technically speaking, it's about as good as it gets for a straight powder, not a standardized extract. This is just a straight extract, which gives you better control over your dose. But this is definitely "root only", not even the root peelings are included. Some research suggests that this is the safest way to go.
nice and relaxing

It works best if you follow the instructions - don't take too much of it. Even a very small amount can have subtle effects. More is not necessarily better. This can be a useful combination of herbs in certain situations.

80% of men over 80 yrs old have reported problems with prostate (statistically) -- saw palmetto is a preventative thing. There are also prescription drugs that use the elements of this plant. In Europe, Saw Palmetto is often prescriped on its own as an herb (not very beneficial for stockholders of pharmaceutical companies). Although in practicing a paleolithic diet, I feel that there is less requirement for this type of thing, it really isn't going to do any harm, and can be thought of as a relatively inexpensive insurance policy against prostrate problems or any other problems relating to a lack of antioxidants. It's good for you! Very effective if you are in a situation where your diet or lifestyle is changing or you are expericence unexpected stress at 4:20pm in the afternoon.
I appreciate the turmeric, and Now Foods is great, and a great value. This is a nice way to stack the odds in your favor.
Perhaps you don't really notice them, since they are adaptogens. I have confidence in Now Foods, they are great. Scientifically, I can't say anything about Ashwagandha "yet" -- but I can say that I have a lot of confidence in Now Foods brand. They are a good deal. For me, the ayurvedic herbs and priciples are something I'm trying out - it's way to soon to know one way or another.
Easier than the tabs - easier to swallow, etc... same goodness, just easier to take. I recommend, just from personal experience.
very good deal

This is high quality stuff, at a very attractive price. If coconut oil is what you're looking for, this is probably the item to get.
