These lentils are great in a soup or salad.

A Nutritional Boost

Posted on Oct 14, 2011

I add wheat germ to my morning hot whole grain cereal. It boosts the magnesium and vitamin E content and expands the texture of the dish.

My Morning Treat

Posted on Nov 22, 2009

I had stopped drinking coffee 5 years ago due to loss of desire to taste it. So trying a sample of instant coffee did not excite me. However, one sip of CafeCeps resulted in an empty coffee cup. I am now mixing the coffee in 4 ounces of hot water and drinking it with no additives. I mix it with a fork until it forms a few bubbles at the edge of the coffee. That vigorous stir is not necessary. I just like to do it. The taste is definitely coffee but with a smooth edge. I feel a nice energy, not anxiety, after one serving. It is probably good that it is $.53/serving or I may drink more than I should. Madre Labs has developed an innovative organic product that satisfies my need to have a good cup of coffee with the bonus of a dose of bioavailable mushroom powder. I'm impressed.

A Sensible Source of Vitamin C

Posted on Nov 22, 2009

What a great alternative to vitamin C tablets. I know our bodies process all types of substances we ingest. But a whole-food source of vitamin C makes more sense. I much prefer to eat an orange vs. taking a vitamin C tablet. But sometimes I do not take time to make good foods available. So it is good to have this option.

Good Morning Coffee

Posted on Feb 09, 2010

I enjoyed this sample. The coffee flavor is just strong enough and I get the added bonus of micronized full spectrum Cordyceps and Reishi. I was pleased the product is organic.

Practical, Well Designed Organizer

Posted on Mar 09, 2010

It is more fun to use this organizer than the rectangular one with lids. It holds a good number of pills. You can see the week's supply at a glance. The pills are secure. And the organizer travels well.

For My Bones

Posted on Jan 18, 2009

I am hoping that taking 6 gtts/day of this bioactive form of silicon will help prevent or slow the onset of osteoporosis. I take it with soymilk or juice. Taking it straight or with water is not recommended due to the strong fishy taste.

A Good Smoothie Ingredient

Posted on Jan 27, 2011

For a whole food source of vitamin C boost this product is a great option. I try to eat a balanced diet but know I likely do not consistently get enough vitamin C in my diet. My body can use a whole food source of the vitamin more effectively than a pill source. I add a small scoop to my nightly smoothie.

I Am Hooked

Posted on Jan 27, 2011

This is a good coffee for me, one who is not a coffee lover but enjoys a morning cup that is smooth and strong without bitterness. The mushroom extract content is a definite plus.

A Natural Alternative to Ascorbic Acid

Posted on Aug 22, 2011

I am glad to have a tablet form of vitamin C that seems more sensible than plain ascorbic acid. I am sure that I do not get enough vitamin C from my diet consistently.

A Mild Sardine With the Zing of Mustard

Posted on Aug 22, 2011

I enjoy the mild sardine flavor of the smoked brisling. These canned sardines are a convenience food when on the run. They are a satisfying source of protein, calcium and omega-3 fatty acids. My bones can certainly use that.

Yes! A Great Domestic Olive Oil

Posted on Aug 09, 2011

This olive oil is milder and more fruity than the Italian oils I have used. I tried drinking a tablespoonful and it did not burn my throat. I am pleased to have this choice. The price is competetive. The desirability and health benefits of this olive oil are worth the cost.
