No additives

Very mild herbal scent. Much less expensive than Whole Foods, or other retail from Iherb. One of the few deodorants without any bad additives. Works great. My first review was great because this product had no preservatives. My recent order in July 2013, however does show that they are now adding two preservatives. This was not listed on the iherb page. Of the two new ingredients, one is safe, the other is not. The Phenoxyethanol MSDS sheet warns not to absorb through the skin, it can cause he shutdown of the central nervous system, and cause contact dermatitis. (the ethylhexylglygcerin is not toxic). So, needless to say, I will no longer be ordering this product.

My first Ghee

Posted on Dec 31, 2013

I know how much work it is to make Ghee. It is not clarified butter, they go a step further. I have some in a butter bell on the counter, and have put the rest in the refrigerator in a dark bag (keep in cool dark area). It should last 6 months or more this way. What an incredible butter flavor. Lately, butter has tasted so bland to me, but this has an amazing taste. Two tbls. a day, no more, and it's good for your heart health. I will use this instead of butter from now on.

Using in hand creams

Posted on Apr 05, 2014

I am making hand creams, and moisturizing body sprays, with the Aloe Vera Gel. It actually aids in emulsifying the oils, distilled water, and glycerine I use in the body spray, so none of it is separating. Being the inner clear part of the plant leaf is important, as the label indicates this is what they use.

excellent quality

I bought two of these straws, for use with my own herbal mixtures of tea. I put my teas in a cup, then sip from the straw. It completely filters the tea, and only needs a quick rinse to clean. Excellent buy, as more primitive ones are the same price at my local co-op. Very high quality stainless steel, made in Argentina. For anyone who grows and harvests their own herbs, or makes their own blends, this is so much easier than trying to make tea bags, or filter with baskets. And the design is the very best of them all.

xylitol from birch bark

Posted on Jul 02, 2013

I prefer xylitol from birch bark, the original way they processed it, not from corn as most of it is now for a lesser price. The packaging is smaller than previously and more costly, but since I limit my intake of sugar as we all should, I justify the additional cost as worthy to have it more pure. I just make my own herbal infusion simple syrup with it to blend with soda water. dissolves quickly in water.

Palm wax is a clean burning wax like beeswax, but much less expensive. The candles are long lasting.

A lot of rose hips

Posted on Apr 05, 2014

this is a big supply. I'm not about to harvest my own rose hips, cut each tiny one open to de-seed it, and then dry them, when I can purchase these at a good price. I plan to simmer some in water, add some sweetening, and this will by my vitamin C rosehip syrup to mix with sparkling water. I also put it in with my loose tea. I read this is the best way to get your Vitamin C.

Tamiflu-Star Anise

Posted on Jun 28, 2016

I bought this Star Anise because it is Organic and I wanted to make a tea. I will use it to make a strong tea if I get the flu this next winter, as the RX Tamiflu is made from Star Anise. I also put it in my bitters with other herbs. It has a much milder licorice taste than other things, nice. This Star Anise is very fresh. I'm happy with the purchase.

Xylitol 25%

Posted on Jun 28, 2016

This toothpaste has the most xylitol of any of this type toothpaste. I really liked the neem tea tree taste. The need was faintly there, which is a good thing. My teeth actually stay white if I use this as well as being good for keeping plaque down.

excellent for problem skin

Posted on Aug 14, 2016

Nice amount of salytic acid in the pads. This used to be what they used for face peels in the 1970's. My mom had it done and looked fabulous until 92 years old. I'm using these as an exfoliant therefore. They also keep nice and wet in the container. Do not dry out.

delicious

Very nice fruit taste. Jucey Fruit of the modern day. It also keeps plaque from forming on my teeth. I use it when I eat out, right after eating.
