My Reviews

Unlisted Ingredient

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Aug 19, 2012

"Microcrystalline Cellulose" is not listed as an ingredient and is not present in the photographed bottle, but is listed in the bottle I got.

Creamed Honey - Plastic Bottle

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 25, 2012

Except for a liquorice light bitterness, it is good. -- Has similar consistency, smoothness, and taste as condensed sweetened milk. -- "Creamed honeys, like our products, have been slightly heated up to slow down the crystallization process. However, low temperature and timing is necessary to preserve the raw unpasteurized state of the honey."

Honey From Multiple Sources

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 14, 2012

Prefer a local operation for quality control reasons. -- No way to tell how frequently bees have collected nectar from GMO crops. -- "The honey comes from local beekeepers as well as beekeeping friends across the country and sometimes Canada. We use honey from beekeepers in Vermont, New York, Michigan and Montana.. Some of these beekeepers summer in the south and travel to provide pollination services for these crops."

Better Consistency, Taste

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 22, 2012

Has better consistency and taste compared to other liquid honey. Considering the radiation contamination from Fukushima, I'm glad this organic honey comes from Brazil/Argentina, rather than the state of Oregon in the West Coast.

Bottle Has No Security Seal

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 22, 2012

A convenient single-ingredient product for external use, make sure your skin is not cut or it will sting. You can always add distilled water to make it less concentrated. Works great as a deodorant, a good alternative to clays, most deodorants have undesirable ingredients.

High Concentration of Fluoride

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Aug 15, 2013

"Commonly known as kala namak or sanchal, black salt ... has one of the highest concentrations of fluoride and should be used sparingly and not on a regular basis as excessive fluoride is harmful to health." -- [Flavour is just one of salt's many positives - The Indian Express]

Terrible, Just Read Ingredients List

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 13, 2012

Use Castile soap instead. -- Methylisothiazolinone (Wikipedia): "A short exposure (10 min) to concentrations of MIT of 30-100 micromolar (or 4-12 parts per million) were lethal to mature neurons in tissue culture" -- Benzisothiazolinone (Wikipedia): "It is a known human immune system toxicant, and also is classified as irritant for skin, eyes and lungs" -- Ingredients: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Caprylyl/Myristyl Glucoside, Lauramine Oxide, Methylisothiazolinone, Benzisothiazolinone (Synthetic Preservatives)

Glass Bottle, Good

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Sep 07, 2011

Sovereign Silver cares enough about their products so they use glass bottles. Don't buy other silver solutions in plastic bottles, that's a sign you should buy a better brand. If they don't care enough about their silver solution product reacting with the chemicals leaching from the plastic bottles, they don't care enough about their customers.

No Certificate Of Analysis

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 23, 2012

Has good taste, but I would like to see a certificate of analysis, Redmond provides this information for their Real Salt.

Cheap Corn Based Product (At Higher Price)

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 13, 2012

This product is the cheap version of Ascorbic Acid made from corn at a higher price (most probably GMO and from China). The label says nothing about corn or other allergens. Also, the ingredients for other Allergy Research products show that it is no different than any other company, using common additives.

Too Sweet

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 22, 2012

Too much sugar, it is the first ingredient in the list.

Creamy, Mellow, Raw Honey

Posted by Reviewer2469206 on Jul 22, 2012

It is truly a creamy and mellow honey with a floral scent. The honey has a light color and does look raw with bits and pieces, surely it is not filtered.
