important supplement in home-made dog food

Posted on Sep 29, 2009

Have been using product for many years as an important supplement in home-made dog food. My dogs get tested annually, have never shown any nutritional deficiencies. The cost, compared to salt substitutes found in supermarkets, is very reasonable. I use the product for myself, too, for health reasons. Mix it 50:50 with table salt to make my own "light salt".

sleep like baby

With this, slept like a baby, no drowsiness the next day. Helps me not only to fall asleep fast, but also to sleep through the night. I do not use sleep aids very often so I am not very concerned about Melatonin's possible (negative) side effects.

Now Foods, Bone Meal Powder

I have used this in my home made dog food for many years now. It is a good price (in comparison, I've seen bone meal that is not for human consumption cost more than Now Foods bone meal), and so far I've had no complaints from my dogs about the taste :) My dogs have extensive annual routine blood checks and so far everything has always come back normal, so I know they get all of the nutrients I feed them.

Cosamin works for me

Posted on Sep 20, 2011

Cosamin capsules made a world of a difference for me, have hardly any arthritis pain in my knees any more. Switched to tablets though just recently because I dislike the food coloring in the capsules. Since the tablets have the same active ingredients I expect them to work just as well.

Method dish soap

Works well, no animal testing, natural ingredients, smells good. Like the pump mechanism. Only downside is it does not ship well. There was some spillage from the container, but fortunately iHerb had put bottle into plastic bag so spillage was contained.

Method Gel Hand Wash

Posted on Sep 14, 2011

Smells great, no animal testing, natural ingredients. I get so much more for my money by putting 1/4 of this gel and 3/4 water into the Method **Foaming** Hand Wash bottle.

preventive use

As there were reports, see http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/12/081207134109.htm, about a possible link between Alzheimer's and herpes (fever blisters), I take these tablets only just as an additional precautionary measure. It does not hurt anything to take them, but I also do not know how much, if any, good they will do, so my rating is pretty much based only just on ease of use (no unpleasant taste when dissolved put under tongue) and cost (compared with other sellers, iHerb's price is the best, but I think it is still a bit pricey just in general).

treat for wild birds

Posted on May 14, 2012

I break these up once or twice and offer them to wild birds as a treat. They love them! With some patience we even got titmice to land on our hands to get the priced treats.
